i just went out into the heavy rain to pick up my sis and bro-in-law from the mrt station near my house. on my way back up my street, smack right in the middle of the road was a freaking tortoise! holy cow! it was the size of my head!!! my bro-in-law picked it up and we took it home with us. it's still raining quite heavily but at least the fella's out of harm's way. it's now wandering curiously (and probably totally freaked out by the sudden abduction) in our backyard where it's safe. i'll see what my parents want to handle it (can't tell if it's a he-toise or she-toise) come sunrise. omigosh it's like the size of my head. wonder if it belongs to any of my neighbours. but it'd be an amazing feat if it was, and managed to escape its quarters.
