well thanks to the latest flu outbreak, i'll be heading down to the airport for work tomorrow. my company's gotten the outsource contract from the government and we staff at the backend are being called in to support the frontend staff at the various checkpoints islandwide. my job scope there will probably include taking temperature and other insanely mundane stuff. but all for the sake of the whole country. but hey i'm not complaining (much) since this is within normal timing... and afterall, what's this compared to what i've undergone in the army right? i've been called to the airport in the dead of the night before, and it's not any less troublesome with the army too.
yes, we'll be given protection masks and whatnot. and yes we've been briefed on what to do. and yes, there're better trained professional nurses there too. i'm not sure if i don't mind doing this because i don't have to go to the office for a day, or that i'm "immune" to this sort of auxiliary tasks assigned to me... either way, it's not biggy. everyone's gotta do their part. :)
ps: we're still having a field day with domo-kun thus far. it definitely is bringing out my inner child lol! but it's so adorable and huggable! xD
