minor bits of info

i made a call to DBS hotline for some enquiries. we wanted to find out how the process is like for payment of the deposit/final amount for the wedding dinner.

so here's how:

the dinner reservation can typically have one week "option" period (aka time for you to consider your decision) from the time you decide to book the dinner, to the time your actually make payment for the deposit.

the bank advised to me to call 3 days before the date of payment (aka for me it'd be this Friday then i'd call them on Tuesday) to request the temporary credit limit increase. they'll ask me for the number of tables/pax per table as an estimate and will revert to me on the amount they'll approve me with. yes, they might not approve the amount i'd request for.

the limit increase will supposedly last for a month.

so that's the deposit bit. now for the eventual dinner. for the final payment, again, another phone call should be made to temporarily increase the credit limit then. again, 2-3 days beforehand.

the above is just for my reference, and in case some curious passers-by are doing some research for their own wedding. :D
