OT

stormy weather ahead, frequent days of OT expected. many areas flooded with loopy work and the sky is filled with bugs waiting to be fixed. left work at 9pm just now and it seems a day or two of leave will be cancelled.

i was explaining my situation to rachel earlier on. my colleague and i, we're like building a house on a tight schedule now. we've been behind schedule for like 3 weeks already, but that's not all. we've been building the house while some fella keeps chiming in when we're almost reaching the roof.

"we're in need of another room to build in the house."

"this place needs to have a doorway for a door."

"that place needs ventilation, build a window there."

"you installed windows that open out? remove that, we want sliding windows."

"those nails aren't rusty, just paint them over and they look good as new!"

"i'm pretty sure this piece of wood isn't crawling with termites. it's been used in more than one house so just use it here."

"we use frying pans to shovel all our dirt, just continue using it here."

"don't move the sand here with the wheelbarrow. use the small box with lots of holes in it instead!"

bah... you get the idea.


been pulling a long face today at work, cursing and swearing under my own breath as i analysed the existing codes littered with bugs that needed fixing. i thought we were building a new module... but who knew we'd be fixing existing bugs as well. the bricks have a lot of tiny holes in them. yeah, probably very good for ventilation. i'll need all that extra air. excuse me while i strangle myself.
