it's coming to the third week at work for me... and thinking back i really hadn't spelt out what is it that i do there. well i guess it's about time to describe that in a more defined way than just the title of my position.
first, a little background on the company i'm in... the organisation i work for, has a number of subsidiaries. of which, the subsidiary i'm under actually operates an online application that allows them to service their clients. the system also allows this subsidiary to work together with partners and other third-party service providers.
so where do i come in? the crux of their business is in that application abovementioned. there are many aspects/perspectives to the system, of which i'm assisting in upgrading a portion of which is still currently relying on legacy support systems. so in a way, i'm extending the functionalities of the existing system as an in-house programmer.
things are definitely not as hectic as in a software house, and moreover, the current IT teams aren't exactly fully developed yet. our department is a rather small one. i'm still doing fine here so far.
have anyone been to check out this chocolate place called Chocz? can't stand it... their chocolate is nice... unfortunately i'm having this huge ass ulcer in the back of my mouth so things didn't go too nicely while i tasted those darned chocolate pieces... the ulcer is very annoying. -_-"
