actually i'm somewhat dreading it. the company is having free health screening for their employees. among the rest, more importantly it includes namely, yours truly. 10 hour fasting until the next morning. i've heard they'll conduct the routine checks. including 2 tubes of my blood to be drawn for analysis. can i say "ouch"?
i'm getting into the swing of things at work and i can see that work is gradually piling up. i'm receiving more tasks to do with increased frequency so far. ah heck i'll stop with talking shop. i was drenched in the afternoon today. i headed out for lunch with my colleagues in a light shower. we were lulled into a false sense of security as we walked out of the building, to which the sky started pouring! by the time we reached the canteen where the food was, our pants were soaked, socks soggy, backs damp. all this even when we had umbrellas with us. the things people do for food... i think i'll order in for lunch tomorrow if it rains again... >_> when we were back in the office, the aircon was cold, making us feel even more icky because we had to sit down with our skin in contact with the damp cloth of our pants. eek... my clothes dried up fast enough fortunately.
