u probably don't need to read all these but i found them interesting.

the head of the muslim society in australia had offered to be replacement of the australian taken hostage by terrorists. the hostage is sick. but the government isn't too interested in his offer. while i think it is rather noble of him, it is also not wrong of the government to not accept his offer. they wouldn't want to be seen as willing to sacrifice one for another right? read here

oh and i for one had never heard of this one before. didn't know there was a House Rabbit Society in Singapore! they are asking people not to abandon their pet rabbits... here
