here comes another list

there's been lots going through my head lately. but to sum things up, i'm essentially in limbo as usual. am waiting for the chance to switch jobs. here's a list of dates that matter, with no particular meaning in chronological order:
  1. Clarence's birthday (23rd)
  2. next payday (27th)
  3. Mum's birthday (30th)
  4. Wedding album photoshoot (3rd Aug)
  5. Next 15% downpayment for new home (11 Sep)
  6. Wedding dinner (17 Dec)
  7. Rachel's overseas working trip (17 Jan)
yes, to note, we've purchased a unit at The Peak @ Toa Payoh.
  • 5-room,
  • 1227sqft,
  • mid-floor,
  • @ $616k.
  • TOP 2012 Aug
hence in the meantime we'll be staying with my parents for the next 2.5 years and enjoy the full condo facilities until we get sick of it. and that's using my mum's words.

and as to why i'm not looking for a job currently... it'd complicate the status quo.

in other news, i managed to make noise about the ERP gantry successfully by calling the relevant authorities (quite literally, 1800-CALL-LTA). it was 2 days ago when i drove under the ERP gantry @ bendemeer without hearing a beep from my IU. fearing unnecessary fine, i called them up yesterday morning and received a response from a technician in the afternoon that it was due to a communication error and that i do not have to pay anything for the incident. that definitely made things better slightly.

and i still have yet to receive word about my unnecessary parking ticket... i guess outsourcing certainly has its shortcomings. maybe i should enquire with Chubb instead of URA...

being over exposed

Exposure #1

An auxiliary officer caught me driving in the bus lane during prohibited hours several weeks ago. I'd received a letter of notification and I promptly paid up on Monday without resistance. Guilty as charged. No demerit points, S$130 poorer.

Exposure #2

A parking summons lady issued me a parking ticket. I'm to be fined S$20. The woman must be either a newcomer or a complete dumbass that should not have been hired for this job. I have made an appeal for this. The grouse I have with this is that I was right to have used $3 worth of coupons and was within the time frame for the Park and Ride Scheme. She'd indicated my coupons to have expired after 3 hours. This would have been correct for a normal car park, but the location I parked at was clearly involved in the scheme. The saga continues, pending an answer from HDB.

Exposure #3

A colleague had unintentionally sent an email to all@... with a very sensitive document attached. The spreadsheet contained all the salary amount and job grading of everyone working in this company. So did I take a peep? Happy guessing!
