big momma in da house! the homing beacons built into the little chewing monsters kick in straightaway and they'd start digging in for milk under their mum! see how miffed DanDan appears to be? xD

*nibble nibble*

mummy are you in there? the white one attempts to bury itself under the other 2 buns.

all bushed, whacked out, and drawing teensy Z's...

there isn't any food there. they just like to squeeze into tiny spaces. and huddle up like that. maybe that's what they call a group hug!

gahhh! gnawing at the bedding again! it's so kewt and fuhryyyy!

as demonstrated, here's the white bun with its unique brown streak straight down the spine. it's basically all white save for the browns on its ears and the spine area.

they have a funny way of getting rest. the white bun had snuck up on the butt of the patchy bun and laid there to take a nap. i'm like, ROFL?

note to self: don't use flash. especially not on the white bun sneaking up the side of the basket.

the 3 little chewing monsters are very active and wouldn't stop for a photoshoot!

the brown furry one liked to chew on the "bedding" rach's mum had placed in the basket for them. note that they have a different basket for feeding time, in which they can hop around with more space. and chew this. =.=

this patchy bun was quite the shy one and didn't take to the camera very well.

i don't know what the white one was doing but it was jumping into mid-air. this was taken several days after they were born (including the smallest gray one... :( R.I.P. little one) and their fur was barely growing out so they appear a bit bald.

can you say "ouch" in woof?

awwww!!! 3 buns all fast asleep in their comfy li'l basket...

pointless notices

i noticed a few (rather pointless) things of late. just wanna jot them down a bit.

about the Opel-Vauxhall thing i'd put up a few days back, i discovered that it was apparently Vauxhall who was "tio jiak" (aka eaten up) by Opel/General Motors. and what's more is their car models are being sold down under as Holden models. pointless right?

now, on to the next... i came across a police checkpoint on the road late last night. to my surprise, i noticed that, besides the nifty subaru wrx police car, was a toyota prius police car too! i think i was coo-ing to myself as i drove past the vehicle. i must admit it's not the best looker of a car but for the police to adopt the whole hybrid/electric technology thing into their fleet is a curious little piece of news, however pointless it may seem.

oh and lastly, have you heard? Dodge is coming to town! i wonder what models they have on offer in Singapore. they are brought in under the wing of the Daimler-Chrysler group, so it's no surprise they can be found in a showroom beside the Chrysler/Jeep ones down at Leng Kee.

ok so perhaps you've realised by now how seemingly crazy i am about cars. it just interests me so...

*why do bunnies huddle in a group when they try to get some sleep?*

gaaaah!!! can't resist!~!!!!

pre-posting alert!

i'll try and get it done tomorrow!

after much procrastination, i'd just managed to transfer a bunch of photos of the baby bunnies. it's not a lot but i wouldn't say it's a handful (otherwise i'd have posted them up straightaway) either so i'm gonna nice-ify them a bit before posting them here! they are so adorable! xD

congrats

to diana ser... for giving birth this morning, to her new baby boy. lol i have no idea why but i just felt it's a lovely news that i'd came across. seeing her on tv with that huge tummy on channel news asia why of course i'd be curious when it's due!

wooo

it's halloween soon come 31st Oct. are you ready? *cue spooky background music*

oh and that racist lame smack-me-up joke from 2 days ago? the answer is... *drum rolls* your friendly neighbourhood char siew/butcher stall!!! muahaha... cos that's the last place they want to go near! what's more, if we discover them nearby, we'll start throwing char siew at them and they'd go "gahhh!!! keep away from me!!!" and run away! isn't that fun! =x

and ooh i just found a juicy bit of totally irrelevant and unimportant piece of information on the net. i had no idea that... the car brand Opel is actually having its car models sold under other brands! there's the Holden, Chevrolet, Saturn, Pontiac and even Vauxhall! gosh and i'd thought that Vauxhall was a racing powerhouse kind of brand. check out this wiki i dug up. gee. so Chevrolet has the same papa as Opel. kinda pointless to have it in sg right? probably just so they can corner a larger share of the market. iirc (if i recall correctly) General Motors is on the decline... so it might be understandable with this move in sg...

and if you have been getting problems not being able to connect to msn for a while, take a look at this fix. might help.

MSFN's Unattended Windows : Finalizing and Testing the CD

ok i'd been slow at this. i've heard of slipstreaming all this while and i never really took a good look at it. so now i'm trying it out just because i got curious. that, and also my eagerness to try and install winxp on rach's ibook. haa! i discovered this site for Q (or kju for that matter) that is actually a free emulator for x86 systems (referring to winxp in this case) to be able to run on powerpc systems (the mac's old platform, pre-macintel)!

so being the geeky me, i poked around and went ahead with it. finally managed to get the slipstreamed iso working with CDImage, as recommended by Unattended.

the weekend was long and relaxing. had enjoyed it pretty good. now is the time to get back to work tomorrow! can't wait! we've only got 3 days left for work this week and i'm probably gonna have to deploy something that's been delayed due to testing and bugs for a week plus. oh shit did i just sound excited about my work? =x

YouTube - Transforming a 2D image into 3D

i think the amazing part of this is having the computer doing all this automatically.

it's the twin holidays!

so i was feeling lazy to blog much about anything. but here's a question that popped back into my mind since ages. i think the smack-me-up riddle was from my army days. it may pose a bit of a racist flavour to those who may feel offended easily in such aspects. so don't go about reading it like i didn't warn you...

in singapore, what places are the safest in case of terrorist attacks? (hint: as what some extremists have a tendency to overuse this term, "jihad" may be a starting point for your guess)

i'll reveal the answer tomorrow. or you can message me in msn if you think you know the answer.

:(

may its little furry soul rest in peace. one of the young furballs belonging to my mistress of buns have passed on. :( 3 buns are left.

the week is ending! and my hot stuff that have been chugging on seems to allow breathing space for yours truly. so i'll try and breath easier. indoors that is. outdoors is just so... breathtaking. quite literally!

i checked the haze this afternoon while goofing off after lunch in the office (shhh) and it was freaking 113 psi! let's just hope the wind blows strongly in our favour for the time being.

so why didn't anyone think of this earlier? ok so somebody did but this seems to work most reliably.

this little widget allows you to rearrange your program windows in Windows by click-and-drag on your task bar!

random ramblings

one thing i'm glad i live in sg for. i believe we are the one and only country in which macdonald's (among other things) are available 24-hours throughout the day, and even with home delivery! seriously man, even in the states they don't get such service. of course, i can't blame them if they have such a large area right? but i dare say at least the delivery guys for our late night food cravings won't fear getting mugged that easily.

and talk about setting up a wireless sg. we getting lots more hotspots in time to come? that's great, because our neighbouring country is having tons of hotspots already as we speak. i'm hoping those hotspots of theirs don't increase. otherwise we're gonna have a tough time walking and breathing through all the haze we've been getting. i'm pretty sure their hotspots will kick our hotspots' ass. lol...

*looking forward to our future...*

the 150-dollar voucher

recently, m1 had sent me a voucher worth $150. my mobile service provider had wanted to entice me to renew my contract somehow i guess. instead, i'd used it to get a new hp for my dad. i'd of course signed another 2 years, but it was probably alright. i got him the motorola V3x. and later in the night, i then had to re-educate my parents in the use of the mobile phone, including the photo-taking functions. lol... my parents aren't technologically inclined at their age. so my dad will use this one, and my mum will take over his previous one. we now have 3 panasonic GD68's lying around the house. =.=

oh and i failed to mention another thing. is michelle chia involved in another food-related variety show on ch8? if you know of any do let me know if you notice any scene of them in suntec. i think they caught my family and yours truly on tv the moment the carpark elevator opened up on ground floor. in my opinion, i'd say that michelle chia looks taller and larger than life on tv quite literally. she was practically the size of my sis... who erm... isn't very large sized. so do let me know in case they decided not to cut that portion off where it showed the stunned look on our faces. :)

*hope you happier...*

crap

i'm behind in my deadlines and i'm still rushing other stuff too. i think i'm getting old. it appears that i'm beginning to enjoy listening chinese oldies รก la 97.2 and 95.8... yup. first signs of aging. the haze seems to be getting better but i could still catch a whiff of soot in the air a short while ago. my cough apparently isn't improving a lot. but i'm guessing it'll get better soon enough. my dizzy spells are still around though. not sure what this might mean but i'm getting it while at work. not very productive if you'd ask me...

*i'll catch up soon! xD*

yippee for us!

oh i found this dontclick.it site. interesting reasoning the fella has.

and the haze is... finally gone! either there was no wind to bring us more haze, or the wind was blowing in our favour. then perhaps the wind will blow northwards and leave our neighbouring countries to fend for themselves. haha! =x *evil*

i'd been coughing badly of late. no idea why. haze? maybe. but i'm coughing at times like i'm getting stitches already. ho hum... tomorrow's another hard day at work. kinda behind deadlines but it's not an option if there's tons to clear.

*nyum nyum xD*

quadruplets!

xiaohui the local breed was quite potent! xD he'd mated with rach's other bun, a holland lop and the result was 4 miniature versions of them two! and they were considerably larger sized compared to local breeds (according to rach's mum) so it's a wonder how they'd fit into the womb of dandan. hehe the new mummy was pretty tired but seems to enjoy the human touch more now. must have been a tiring day for her. rach was pretty anxious the whole day at work upon hearing the news (late morning) and sms-ed me about it. her mum was apparently calling her more frequently with updates on the situation a la roving reporter speaking live from the site of the major event. =x

bah about work. it's a deadly mix of a long-delayed report and mountains of work for my colleagues and i. everyone's got heaps of it!

and i stumbled upon (i'm doing this quite often, i'd realised...) a local celeb's blog too! it's in chinese and it's by lin xiang ping wor... somewhat personal touch i'll say.

*here they come, version 2.0, but without names yet xD *

Adopt a rabbit anyone?

Gosh look at all these cuddly creatures! Aren't they adorable?

it was nonstop

i'm bushed. work never stopped (save for lunchtime thank goodness!) the whole day... was so busy whole day i felt giddy by early afternoon. hate the multi-function copier 5m away from me. i can smell the ozone or whatever it creates whenever somebody prints from it. and i worked late!

ooh and i found out something about my hp photosmart 3110! in case anyone happens to be in the same situation as me and trying to search for help online all over to no avail, here's my discovery regarding that multi-function printer of mine to do with bluetooth. it seems that despite the sales people saying that the printer CAN ONLY work with the proprietary HP bluetooth adapter, that surprisingly isn't on sale at any retail outlets (you have to order it!)... i found out that not to be the case. i heard a suggestion from this guy i bought an ink cartridge (was running low on yellow) from a HP store that he had personally tried a 3rd party dongle! with this new-found knowledge i had come across (thanks to my darling who happened to ask for the heck of it anyway!) i tried my brother's bluetooth adapter. it's a class 1 (100m+ distance kind) and not a class 2 (30m+ kind) as mentioned by that guy. interesting to note is, the super slim bluetooth adapter of mine (that resembles a coin-sized flash drive) was never able to work with my printer before! only after i experimented with this bt adapter from my bro (which apparently was on a different bt driver-base (i think i read on wiki that there are 2 "bases" of sorts) and after plugging that in, my slim bt adapter could work on the printer too! i can now happily print from my phone direct to the printer! *sexcited* even rach's ibook was able to print via bluetooth with no fuss... that's pretty neat.

*cough cough dusty air*
