first off, i have a number of computers at home.
- my ibm thinkpad that i'm using quite happily
- a pentium 4 desktop
- a pentium 2 333Mhz (i think) Acer Travelmate laptop, my previous lappy
- a pentium 2 350Mhz desktop (was it because of the additional RAM?) which i swear was originally known to be a 300Mhz
- another pc courtesy of rach which i think might be going home soon?
- the xbox
my tech talk aside, i'd recently done some calculations. the distance between my office and home is about 4.5km... i'm considering the option of running home from work occasionally. just a thought, no idea if i'll implement it eventually. of course i'd hope to, in lieu of my training for ippt by the end of this window to get a pass (before my next birthday). i could get changed after work and run home. of course my priority is to train up my stamina. but the by-product (sic) also includes saving money as a result of not taking public transport.
here's one even sillier idea. wireless webcams placed around my home, more crucially facing the doorbell/gate so that people in the house can see who's come visiting. pointless it seems, but seems like such a fun project.
i kept bringing up the idea of building a desktop pc casing in the shape of r2d2 (or did i not?) but i'd been procrastinating. so anyway, case in point, just a note to myself here probably. i noticed one day as i headed towards sim lim square for lunch during work (by bus no less) that for sale at a shop by the road were barrels! yes! blue barrels meant for holding fish or whatnot that seemed the perfect size! oh wow i'm all excited just thinking about it. might be a pretty convenient way to execute the plan...
gosh i've not been having blogger's diarrhoea for sometime now. to think i crapped all those out. ahh... i feel better now.
i just fixed some figures at work which at last shows what we wanted. i think i'm goofing off at work (which is bad!) but at the same time i have so much things to do... which obviously i don't feel motivated to get started on. there's this report that's been nagging at me to be completed but other stuff keep slipping in unknowingly. sigh...
*vroom vroom?*
