night time at 6pm

ok so i didn't have much to blog about today so i decided to talk about the weather.

it was about 5+ in the late afternoon when it started to rain. i noticed the sky darkening, despite the fact that our windows were tinted and it looks as if the sky is constantly overcast. it eventually became a torrential downpour as the rain got heavier. as the rainstorm continue past 6pm, i knew i'd probably be staying a bit later than usual. when i hopped out for a toilet break, there were heaps of people out in the lobby, trapped in the building as the rain came down hard and mercilessly hit the ground. the poor ground... -ahem- so anyway, SiEyEs called me around 530 wondering if i'm off work yet. he's working in the same building while waiting for his enlistment. it's apparent he's in the same boat as the rest of us, but no i wasn't able to share a cab out with him or anything of that sort.

so rach picked me up in a cab with a grouchy driver. he wasn't very polite to her when she'd got on. i had taken down his particulars after getting in, but rach had decided to let it slide. although i must admit this isn't the first time we'd gotten ill-mannered taxi drivers picking us up! a few blacksheep in their midst seem to be constantly grumpy and possibly thinks the world owes them a living (well technically they don't, otherwise they wouldn't be driving a cab... it's just a figure of speech...) and basically make us feel uncomfortable during our ride with whatever they'd said. at least this cabby kept quiet when i got on. i wonder if it's because he saw rach being a girl and all, and being a chauvinistic person he wanted to bully her somehow. bah.

remember that inanely tedious task A i'd always been mentioning about? i guess i'm done with it in it's initial stage. there's still some things i haven't implemented, but doing so would require me/us/them to tie up some loose ends that can't possibly be tied within short notice. and recalling this piece of text i saw on shan's msn, yup, today was most definitely an unproductive day, and being a monday at that, i shouldn't be too surprised about it.
