ok so i'm evil. i didn't go back to check on the cat for a variety of reasons. the location is not a good spot for anyone, much less a cat, to be in: in the middle of the road. the traffic is relatively high. i was at a lost about it - it's the first time something like this happened. the hour was late, and you bet i was somewhat groggy, all ready for bed. i'm not justifying my position really, just doing some explanation. i used to think that explanations could worsen situations, but of late i've been told that, if i don't explain anything at all, the situation could be even worse. and it's from more than one source telling me that very same thing.
enough about the roadkill. i made lunch for rach and my parents today. yes i cooked. i made fettucine mariacana (or however you spell the name of that tomato-ish sauce) along with a huge mushroom+cheese omelette, and some calamari rings for the four of us. yes, you read correctly. i did the cooking. well ok, rach helped with whipping up the egg into shape, but i did do most of the cooking. heh... they were pretty satisfied about my meal, considering this was the first time they'd tasted anything i've cooked. no wait... this _is_ the first time i'd cooked... i'm relatively satisfied with it too. mum's only gripe is the fettucine should have been a bit tastier with the addition of some salt. and i personally felt the omelette was a tad salty, probably due to the cheese. otherwise they were pretty edible, and nobody had the runs after that. i think.
