drill drill hammer hammer

one of the first things i did after waking up (which, at noon, seriously wasn't that early...) was to help my parents do something. they'd wanted to add more shelves to the store room. the shelving is suppose to be above the doorway. that's where i come in handy.

my dad had me drill in a few holes, screwed on a few planks to the wall (where the holes were of course...) and laid some panels of wood over it, and vĂ²ila, instant shelving. but it wasn't done at the snap of my fingers you know... the drilling took *somewhat* precise measurements and drilling. screwing and hammering while balancing myself atop a ladder was no mean feat either. the windows were open, so was the door. but that didn't stop me from sweating so much that it seemed possible for me to squeeze dry my tshirt at the end of it all sufficient to fill a small bucket! my arms were aching from the hammering. we had to secure the planks didn't we? nails had to be hammered to keep them up there... and the hammer used to hit the nails had also hit my thumb. it's slightly bruised under my nail but it's no biggie i guess.

i suppose there really isn't much need for me to hit the gym because of these kind of chores i do around the house. xD all that balancing act on the ladder plus use of my muscles to do up the shelving certainly made me feel that i didn't spare the use of any part of my body for the chore...

*yummy yummy! xD*
