not too good today. maybe someone's been cursing me. i'd been feeling constipated and stuff the past 2 days despite my stomach giving me loads of complains. and today was judgement day when i had multiple visits to the throne room. >_> not good. don't think i can join my family for a trip to the veg farm in kranji tomorrow.
can you imagine 2 sick people stuck at home the whole day today? no you don't have to. cos rach and i did just that.

lunch on me
ok so i'm evil. i didn't go back to check on the cat for a variety of reasons. the location is not a good spot for anyone, much less a cat, to be in: in the middle of the road. the traffic is relatively high. i was at a lost about it - it's the first time something like this happened. the hour was late, and you bet i was somewhat groggy, all ready for bed. i'm not justifying my position really, just doing some explanation. i used to think that explanations could worsen situations, but of late i've been told that, if i don't explain anything at all, the situation could be even worse. and it's from more than one source telling me that very same thing.
enough about the roadkill. i made lunch for rach and my parents today. yes i cooked. i made fettucine mariacana (or however you spell the name of that tomato-ish sauce) along with a huge mushroom+cheese omelette, and some calamari rings for the four of us. yes, you read correctly. i did the cooking. well ok, rach helped with whipping up the egg into shape, but i did do most of the cooking. heh... they were pretty satisfied about my meal, considering this was the first time they'd tasted anything i've cooked. no wait... this _is_ the first time i'd cooked... i'm relatively satisfied with it too. mum's only gripe is the fettucine should have been a bit tastier with the addition of some salt. and i personally felt the omelette was a tad salty, probably due to the cheese. otherwise they were pretty edible, and nobody had the runs after that. i think.

:(
i was feeling happy/ok/fine still moments ago. that is until a cat shot out of nowhere from the side of the road and went under my car from the side... :( i don't know if the marmalade coloured cat was still alive. there wasn't anywhere nearby safe to stop the car at. i didn't go back to see if it was still breathing... i'm still traumatised. if it... is dead... i hope it'd rest in peace... i like animals generally... more so for cats... so i'm all the more upset about this happening.
i'm under the marine parade grc. walkover = no going to elections for us. as expected i guess... we're under the wing of the head honcho of the white party, so it's no surprised nobody came to contest this ward (or whatever you call these stuff).
my brother has his flat in sengkang. but ironically, of all places, he has been allocated to the ang mo kio grc, which incidentally, is being contested for this year. so yes, he has to go to the polls. but my point is... sengkang under AMK? what gives... >_>
*i'm so sorry kitty...*

do you know what a tesla coil is?
after reading up some questionable articles, there might be a possibility that it is a technology that has been suppressed from the world by economic forces. such technology has the ability to transmit power wirelessly to enable electrical devices to be powered, as in the example in the video clip. nikola tesla had attempted to build one such giant version of a tower in US a long time back. he didn't finished, unfortunately.

i'm healed! it's a miracle!
nah it wasn't. i took 2 flu pills (the 2nd one 4hrs after the first of course) before bed last night, turned in (a little) earlier than usual. i think i dreamt of work, and dreamt of solving the problems at work. it was freaky but i didn't sleep good from that.
my day at work was hectic but slack. how's that sound? there's a load of stuff to work on, here, there, everywhere. things popping in ever so often. but i still manage to step back for a bit every once so often so as not to pressure myself too much.
i had a feeling today, that the police had received some sort of tip-off. just a hunch of course. but i was conjecturing that they were on higher alert than usual. even just now, i noticed 2 traffic police on their bikes coming in to patrol my dead-end street. not surprising, since the elections are just around the corner. so be it external or internal factors, they probably have a good reason to tighten their watch around this period of time.
*ooooh.... ahhhhh....*

it started with a shiver down my spine...
then i felt a chill surrounding my body...
yet i felt hot on the inside.
my hands started to feel clammy,
i could feel my body beginning to perspire.
inside the aircon office, i felt cold...
yet hot at the same time.
i was breaking out in cold sweat...
my downtime started.
my nose turned drippy and i sneezed very frequently. i was down with a cold. or flu. or whatever illness you call that.
i managed to beg for 2 panadol cold relief tablets from a colleague and throughout the day i tried to drink lots of water, and even resorted to eating biscuits constantly. having something in your mouth keeps the system busy and the dripping will lessen. and boy did my trips to the gents increase.
so i had a short nap - 20mins or so - during lunch. didn't head out with the rest... that helped a little. so i hung on until the end of the day and left shortly after 6.
it was a totally drippy day today. totally. >_>
*lach nuss! lach nuss, ma node id dribbing...*

night time at 6pm
ok so i didn't have much to blog about today so i decided to talk about the weather.
it was about 5+ in the late afternoon when it started to rain. i noticed the sky darkening, despite the fact that our windows were tinted and it looks as if the sky is constantly overcast. it eventually became a torrential downpour as the rain got heavier. as the rainstorm continue past 6pm, i knew i'd probably be staying a bit later than usual. when i hopped out for a toilet break, there were heaps of people out in the lobby, trapped in the building as the rain came down hard and mercilessly hit the ground. the poor ground... -ahem- so anyway, SiEyEs called me around 530 wondering if i'm off work yet. he's working in the same building while waiting for his enlistment. it's apparent he's in the same boat as the rest of us, but no i wasn't able to share a cab out with him or anything of that sort.
so rach picked me up in a cab with a grouchy driver. he wasn't very polite to her when she'd got on. i had taken down his particulars after getting in, but rach had decided to let it slide. although i must admit this isn't the first time we'd gotten ill-mannered taxi drivers picking us up! a few blacksheep in their midst seem to be constantly grumpy and possibly thinks the world owes them a living (well technically they don't, otherwise they wouldn't be driving a cab... it's just a figure of speech...) and basically make us feel uncomfortable during our ride with whatever they'd said. at least this cabby kept quiet when i got on. i wonder if it's because he saw rach being a girl and all, and being a chauvinistic person he wanted to bully her somehow. bah.
remember that inanely tedious task A i'd always been mentioning about? i guess i'm done with it in it's initial stage. there's still some things i haven't implemented, but doing so would require me/us/them to tie up some loose ends that can't possibly be tied within short notice. and recalling this piece of text i saw on shan's msn, yup, today was most definitely an unproductive day, and being a monday at that, i shouldn't be too surprised about it.
*menokkking!*

i hope they don't consider this mistreatment.
remember about my hammering n stuff yesterday? well, my parents have since cleaned up the small room (to which i'd estimate is a rough 3m by 3m square on the inside) and discarded some junk we no longer need. and then we shifted the maid's bed in. yup, she's gonna sleep there from tonight onwards. the bed barely fitted in, so yes our maid has been relocated from our guest room (which is probably at least 4 times the size of this one i'm sure) into the room in the back. tsk tsk... and what did my parents say they wanted the guest room to be used for? in preparation of unforeseen mahjong sessions. >_> gosh. i haven't seen them play mahjong before in my whole life. so anyway, the maid couldn't possibly have any objections as to what my dad justified as how she's having it better than other maids because she'd already stayed in that large room by herself for so long.
and along with the clearing out of the junk, i found old toys of ours! hidden in that room was a carrom board with a complete set of playing pieces, and a mini pool table. no it's not the kind that is the size of a laptop. this one we had since i was young has the size of possibly half a writing table. yes it's at least a metre long, made of metal, with a felt layering on it, and also comes with a complete set of 10 pool balls and 2 wooden cues. oh and don't forget the triangle jig. gosh those were the days...
*screw him. no wait, screw me. *

drill drill hammer hammer
one of the first things i did after waking up (which, at noon, seriously wasn't that early...) was to help my parents do something. they'd wanted to add more shelves to the store room. the shelving is suppose to be above the doorway. that's where i come in handy.
my dad had me drill in a few holes, screwed on a few planks to the wall (where the holes were of course...) and laid some panels of wood over it, and vĂ²ila, instant shelving. but it wasn't done at the snap of my fingers you know... the drilling took *somewhat* precise measurements and drilling. screwing and hammering while balancing myself atop a ladder was no mean feat either. the windows were open, so was the door. but that didn't stop me from sweating so much that it seemed possible for me to squeeze dry my tshirt at the end of it all sufficient to fill a small bucket! my arms were aching from the hammering. we had to secure the planks didn't we? nails had to be hammered to keep them up there... and the hammer used to hit the nails had also hit my thumb. it's slightly bruised under my nail but it's no biggie i guess.
i suppose there really isn't much need for me to hit the gym because of these kind of chores i do around the house. xD all that balancing act on the ladder plus use of my muscles to do up the shelving certainly made me feel that i didn't spare the use of any part of my body for the chore...
*yummy yummy! xD*

for the first time...
in my life, that i'd actually won something.
life at work has still been pretty typical of development works, with little diversions here and there. but the main event for today was not my tasks at hand, however. it was the vertical marathon.
i signed up for the individual male category (they termed it the "Hunks" category on the reg form) and due to unforeseen circumstances, i was taken to join in the team event as well. 2 guys 2 girls. the other guy who was supposedly to have joined had to take a rain cheque due to his work commitments. i found him typing away at his desktop moments before the event started. so i threw myself in as the backup.
so the event started about 5+ with the girls individual (they termed in the "Babes" category), followed by my "Hunks" category. they paired us up to run up the stairs at intervals, all 258 steps, 8 floors (7 + to the rooftop), double the flights because of the warehousing needs of the building. i was paired up with a Manhunt 1996/97 winner some more! but given that it's been 10 years, his fab would have a huge L after the first alphabet le... =x so basically by the fourth floor he'd let me continue while he was catching his breath. i'll say this for sure: running up this way makes you giddy if you do it too quickly. imagine how you have to turn in the same direction continuously at each turn of a flight of stairs. it's as if you were sitting in an office chair and turning around and around... >_>
i was rather giddy by the time i reached the rooftop, but i still felt alright. i took 01:09. we then finished up the whole programme with the team event (i was the 4th and last of my team) and we had to hold on to a spikey/hairy stress ball as a baton. i think i was lucky to be unhurt, because by the end of the event, 2 guys and 2 girls had their knees scraped. and it's almost the same location. by the time they reached the rooftop, they'd feel so disoriented that they'd fell inches away from the finishing line! and they all bled too. >_> one of the guy was from my team too. this guy in the team had to pull out as well because he had hurt his knee (+bleeding) so we had another backup (isn't it wonderful how we have so many reserves?!) from our same department to help out.
the results? i came in first with the same timing as another guy. >_< so we're probably going to split the reward for coming in first. i guess i'll be passing him $25 for his fair share come monday. lol... yes that's right... the reward is $50 for the individual events, and $100 for the winning team. no prizes for the rest, but certification of participation and souvenirs were given to all who were present.
this other guy who fell, who was paired up with my team mate who also fell, both barely reaching the finishing line when it happened. but no, their falling had nothing to do with each other. i think i'm starting to not make sense typing all this... erm anyway, he wasn't feeling too good. he'd felt giddy, and even puked his lunch out. fortunately, we had a first aid station with a qualified nurse to attend to him. i left soon after for dinner with rach. it was an eventful day indeed...

the pace is just about right
company's organised a vertical marathon at the building where we have the office tomorrow. so for those of us participating we'll get an hour plus out of work early to attend the event. yes you read correctly. us. i signed myself up, ridiculously enough. i didn't take part in anything like this before so i suppose it's good fun. they had competitive male/female, team and leisure... strangely i went for the competitive male category. lol... no idea why... how many floors would that be? 10 floors? you might be thinking: isn't that shorter than the average HDB block? unfortunately, our building is used for warehousing needs. this means that instead of the usual 2 flights of stairs per floor, we have double the need, aka 4 flights or so. for each floor. they mentioned in the e-flyer that it's going to be about 258 steps up to the roof. hmm yes, the roof. we have been allowed to check out the view on the roof top especially for this event. ok so it's not going to take too long... few minutes of going up the stairs to the top... but it'd probably be a challenge doing that already! i think i'm really beginning to question my own sanity and speculate if i am sadistic (to myself) by nature...
to top things off, although i'm still working on this task A, my bosses haven't really assigned me this other task (let's just label is task B this time round since the rest have mostly been cleared) but i was enthu enough to jump in and volunteer to do up that task. what the heck's come over me... >_>
*wode redred xD*

i'm healthy
it's official! i'm healthy! at least that's what the report for my health screening (remember? the one i fainted at? >_> ) that came back says. everything's normal: my bmi, cholesterol(total, low density lipoprotein aka LDL , triglycerides), blood pressure, and even my pee! gosh i'm so excited. this is all that they can tell me about myself from the 2 vials of blood they extracted out of me. >_>
on a totally different note, i might have a chance to pick up something new to learn outside of work. i think it would be a challenge to work on but i'll still have to find out more.
don't you hate it when i'm always gushing about how i'm enjoying my job? gawd do i enjoy it. minus the fella who keeps pressuring me on finishing my task at hand. i know i know... i'm trying i'm working on it... he's a friendly guy nevertheless, he probably would feel as pressured if he didn't push me. see, i'm such an understanding person right? xD
*what if something bad happens to me...?*

it was a hot day
yup. i was stinky by the afternoon from coming back with colleagues at lunch nearby.
this may sound annoying, but hey, i'm enjoying my work. it's taking a while to complete, but seriously it does takes quite a bit of time to work with all that stuff. the challenge is elevated when i have to follow the MVC architecture already laid out to make things sufficiently object oriented. and working with incorporating legacy data from the existing system makes it an even greater task. i'm still in slight disbelief i'm being paid for something i enjoy doing. maybe it's time i need to enrich myself... wouldn't want to remain stagnant much for too long. not good for my career prospects either.
the day went past just like that. i must start to think that 24 hours in a day is not enough to finish the work. i'm hoping to complete the project (in a general idea kind of way...) by the end of the month before cleaning things up, confirming the layout and stuff... and of course the user acceptance. >_> wonder how that'd turn out then. ah we'll find out in due course i'm sure!
*i have an innocent mind... please be more specific for less-than-innocent ideas*

battery recharged!
i would think that coming to the end of this long weekend, we would all be getting back to our regular lives. back to our working/studying, the chaos, the headaches, the stress, and the people. but i think most of us secretly enjoy the torture. i'm not implying we're sadistic by nature, but apart from the troubles of the human factor, the jobs we hold are essentially good to work on, to a certain extent. i honestly think that the weekend ending right about now is just the right amount of days for a break. any longer and i think i'd feel like i'm rotting at home. not a good sign if that happens. so anyway, another fresh work week is starting and i'm looking forward to the end of the month once again! =D $_$ lolx...
the elections are coming... and seriously... when the ministers said they don't know when the PM will be announcing the elections date to be... you don't suppose...? bah... i'll keep my feet off this arena lest they throw me a lawsuit.
thinking back on my life, i recall how i used to feel so poppy-cock-cocky-cocksure of myself. i most probably inherited this from my daddy. this trait has kinda worn off me a bit since childhood (...right?) but looking at my dad now, i can see how i picked it up from him. nowadays even, when we mention something that my dad was so sure of his own definition for the situation (like how my nephew was awake and watching tv for sure) that i figure he'd guessed it under his cocksure assumption (as it turned out, my nephew was still sleeping as the time they'd mentioned and the person watching tv in my brother's room was my brother... he'd only heard the tv sounds coming from inside the room) and i wouldn't need to second-guess his refuting a statement that dictates otherwise with his typical "mo kor lang" (read: "impossible" in cantonese) to make his stand. i'd probably been corrected by others more often in my life than his, so that would probably explain why i've lessened that streak in me now. but it's cute the way he reacts that way almost everytime... haa...

half price half price!
if you know what is "ba wang can"... then we're guilty of it. =x this restaurant we visited forgot to charge us for 3 (rather pricey) items that we'd ordered from them! xD
my day turned out quite good i guess, considering i woke up grumpy. the damn construction site right beside my home was jackhammering away as early as 9am! on a bloody saturday. @#$% just hope they don't go into overtime tomorrow. interrupting my sleep indeed. -sigh-
i gotta go. just saw a huge roach that strolled into the tv room and hid behind the tv. eew. time for some Baygon action!

massimo
it was rainy weather today. but we managed to head out for super-late-lunch-cum-super-early-dinner around 5 in the afternoon. we'd went to one of our fav haunts in town: the (supposed?) flagship han's outlet near far east square, aka "tasty town". we seem to quite like their omelettes. xD quite yummy, and their menu prices aren't exactly high-end so it's considered affordable too.
to walk off the filling meal, rach and i then did a bit of window shopping in the suntec vicinity. considering it's a public holiday, i would see that it's not too crowded (even though she'd disagree). we were shopping around and saw this new outlet for massimo dutti, and decided to check it out for a bit. guess who we bumped into there! (not literally of course... >_>) shanniee!!! she was out with a few of her friends too! we did chat abit there but given the "classy" atmosphere in the outlet i think we didn't talk for too long... x_X but it was nice to bump into her by coincidence. xD
i think this good friday public holiday came at the right time. it seemed i can almost feel my energy drained away throughout the past weeks from work. i'd been feeling more lethargic almost everyday going to work, and more listless. good chance to recharge (aka sleep in real late) so i do feel refreshed somewhat. =D

thankful
usually when i have nothing else better to do, i think of what things i can be thankful for.
today, i'm thankful for my family. my parents are healthy (to a certain extent), my siblings have hardly treated me badly, and we are still living together without much of an argument/disagreement. living together under one roof, comfortably, thanks to the hardwork of my mum and dad for working their butts off before they retired.
that's it for today. so what can you be thankful for today?
*thankful that i have my rachel as well too of course... xD*

That's my colleague's miffy in the front. behind, you see my desktop with the rabbit wallpaper. my phone's on the left with the phone holding gorilla and key pouch. in the foreground also, you notice a mug for hot drinks, and the gigantic super big slurp i use to drink cold water with. xD and see if you can spot xiao hei and a foto of me with rach in the back too...

my wonderful saturday...
so i was a bit too bushed from saturday to blog properly. it had been a really shiok experience. in one of our rare moments of weakness, rach and i had popped over to the jumbo restaurant at quayside point across from clarke quay for dinner. *cough* apart from the fried rice (which was delicious no doubt, just overkill aka too filling) we also had sharks fin, a whole star groupa, and pieces of chicken. can i spell Y-U-M-M-Y? it was really a great dinner... courtesy of *ahem* rach. =x
and that's not yet the end of the excitement either! we had shopped around nearby, over to bugis, and finally (of all places) to mustafa center past 10pm. uh yeah. we /were/ looking out for something. and given that the shopping mall at mustafa opens 24-hours, it's a pretty inviting place, albeit the presence of crowds of non-english-speaking origins. but we didn't spotted what we wanted. so we took a short walk along the main road and we finally found it! a phone shop! well of course we'd located numerous shops before this (bear in mind that it was already close to midnight and most shops are already closed for the day) but this retail shop had on quite a good deal! my darling had begged to give me a new phone (i'd earlier on practically tortured her with contradicting statements of wanting and not wanting the gift) and i'd decided on the Nokia 6280. it was a good bargain i must admit. it came with a free bluetooth headset which was another plus point. it was fantastic! thanks darling!!! xD

Singapore NRIC number : MAC-NET
i believe there has been this open secret in sg for some time now... but it's quite fun to be able to calculate the checking alphabet with this.
doggies
furry fluffy big white husky doggies! the ending wasn't perfect, but it was a happy one no less... 8 Below. the movie about 8 huskies working at an antarctic scientific lab. i think the show was more of starring the dogs than the humans, part documentary too, like that french penguin movie. i must say it was a rather emotional show. documentary? minus the commentary. we understand dog language don't we? ;)
i detest legacy systems. why must they survive in this day? -sigh- my headaches at work are just beginning... it's not a bad thing really. the complexity of solving such business logic is there, as a challenge the way i see it really. i don't understand why humans do this, but even while you are complaining about something, you secretly enjoy what you are doing. sometimes. or maybe i'm just sadistic about myself, but it seems kinda fun to be doing all this.

blindness
it was rather worrisome, and honestly i think i felt scared. i was in my room and it was pitch dark save for a few blinking LEDs on the router and radio clock. i realised that, wherever i looked at, i could only see darkness straight ahead of me. no i wasn't really blind. but i was unable to look straight at anything without seeing darkness. i could however, side-glance and the areas i saw dark when i looked straight were rather clear. O_O it was rather scary indeed. but i eventually got accustomed to the darkness and my eyes adjusted to see better. i wonder why does this happen...
i wonder what might happen... if i lose my vision...

woes of being noob
yea i'm noob. at work. the business logic and inner workings of the existing system is still unfamiliar to me in certain areas. nevermind me, even my colleague who's been around 6months ahead of me also hadn't much idea about those parts. i was spending a majority of the time today understanding how these things work, and putting the pieces of the puzzle together so that i can actually start doing actual work. this is the result of an undocumented system, being probed into by me, a freshie.
and guess what? i found this interesting site. www.logmein.com that is a remote desktop access service. they provide a browser based interface where u can access your computer through them. i think i can see it saving me some time with settling stuff at work. i used to had an account with www.mywebexpc.com that offers similar services, but they started charging for it after the 1st month of trial now. my brother introduced me to it anyway, but now i'm trying out that logmein to see if it's all that great CNet reviewed it to be. it could turn out to (hopefully not) be a security loophole for my office pc. *yikes*

things gets crazier
that thing about the alphabets are piling up again. hurray. my task A needs to be in action concurrently with a few other tasks, but i guess 2 of these would probably take precedence of task A anyway... it's fun in some ways, annoying in others.
in any case, i was made aware of all these stuff during a meeting this afternoon. my superior mentioned of a short meeting within the team... but by the time we were done, the short meeting lasted well over 2 hours. -_-zzZ i was trying not to fall asleep halfway. i did this by standing up occasionally, kneeling on the office chair and writing stuff down to keep my brain active. had a tough time keeping my eyes open.
am i mellow today? i think i might be. could be the rain, could be the work, could be the tiredness. i'd better get my act together tomorrow. i can see the deadlines lining up to see me die already.
i have a thought i'm considering... might sound crazy in my position, but it's still very feasible. let me just hold on to that thought first.
*boing boing world! =x*

the short stroll with a century egg
so ok it was raining quite heavily in the east today. so our original plan was scrapped. we initially had wanted to go east coast park to take a short stroll in the afternoon. no we're not nuts. we were intending on bringing out one of rach's rabbits along! the younger female little hopper was brought along in her pink plastic picnic basket (which by the way, costs waaaaay cheaper than those designed-for-pets-so-it-costs-more animal carriers...) on rach's lap while i drove. and her name is DanDan. the naughty boingboing had been frightfully impish at home, or so i was told, hence the affectionate term for Huai Dan for her. it was a challenge to pin the bunny down and putting the leash on, but it was quite adorable how she hopped around!
anyway, it rained at ECP. so we hopped over to Mount Faber! i was actually suggesting Labrador Park, but on hearing that rach hadn't gone up Mt Faber (and neither did i for the past 10 years or more) we headed up the unconvincing mountain. on wheels of course. well it did drizzle, but the rain was not a bother. it was rather the insects (read: mosquitoes) that were annoying. but then again, the mozzies there weren't too clever as i'd managed to step on a number of them circling DanDan/her basket. there was even this blue beetle thing that decided it wanted to rest on me so it landed on my singlet. until rach waved it away in an eek-ish manner. =x
the bunny was an attention seeker, believe me. we were on a path that somehow had a lot of people walking past us giving the rabbit strange/amazed/awwww-ish/gushing stares. DanDan had a tendency to hop a bit and stop if she wanted to you see, so we really couldn't make her budge if she didn't want to. rach was rather tired by the time we left the place, but it was fun nevertheless. at least these people know she's a rabbit. beats the kid on a pram at ECP hands down. he'd thought that DanDan was a cat. >_>
next week, it'd probably be xiaohui's turn. he's been left alone for a while now... poor fella. xD
oh, and why century egg? DanDan aka an egg, can bounce? tiao pi + huai dan = pi dan = century egg! xD
*wheee!!!*

the boo boo
i woke up with a bad feeling this morning. i had a dream about army or something, and then this thought suddenly came to mind that made me wake up. i felt the need to resolve the matter by heading to office for a bit.
after mucking around for the most part of the morning, i headed over to my office in my casual tog and went about fixing the tiny problem. what i didn't expect, however, was besides the small situation i was fixing, the other people who happen to be in the office had came upon a bigger problem! and it was practically my fault it happened... >_<" so i was fortunate enough to be present in office today to fix the situation asap. it was related to money transactions, the client companies, and the reputation of the company. so i hope the situation has been resolved fully. i originally intended to stay for like 5 minutes in the office. but it turned out to be one full hour. i then promptly left to meet my girl for the day.
we actually went shopping today. she bought stuff, and i bought stuff. and the stuff she bought was more than bags... which is good in a way. =x and the stuff were more or less necessities so don't start sighing yet! >_> and the bag she bought was not for her but someone else. she so guai hor? xD
anyway, we walked all over, suntec, wisma atria, taka... pretty whacked from all that walking if you'd asked me... but it was enjoyable. it's one of those situations in which, you complain of all that tiredness but you still continue doing that activity cos you are enjoying yourself somehow. lol...
we'd met gret and another guy friend of theirs in bugis in the evening for dinner, and boy was it hilarious. the guy was an interesting person... but apparently didn't get out much (literally, only school/home/school/home that kind) and had crappy topics to talk about the whole time! i guess they haven't met him for several years already so it's probably acceptable for him to be slightly socially inept... =x sorry, but that's how i think of him, though he's a seemingly nice guy. i'm sorry it didn't work out. lolx... i'm meanie. but i'm sure deep down, rach and gret would probably agree with me on my opinions. it's not that he's a bad person, but more like he needs to get out more often, to... you know, see the world, feel the sand on your feet, feel the wind in your hair, feel the dust and dirt on your face, smell the choking city smog through your nose... -ahem- i digress... but yes he probably should pick up some tips on oral etiquette.
it was April Fools' Day today. but i wasn't fooled at all. grown ups are boring. lol.
*i'm glad you feel better... :) *
