you know you're getting old when... (part 2)

work has been fine. i was given my first "support role" task today. some minor tweaking on a small part of their system. it was rather fun to trace the bug, and given that it was my first support task i think it was adequate. not ridiculously difficult to do. at least my supervisor was impressed with how fast i located the problem! xD *beams*

about the title... it shows that i have signs of memory failure. earlier on i'd sent rach home and drove myself back. i came into the car porch through the small gate and locked it. then i realised that, HOLY CRAP! i'd left my house keys in the bloody car!!! @#$% so i was caught between the locked gate and the wooden door leading to inside the house. i could either climb over the gate to get at the keys in the car, or sleep in the car porch until morning. that is of course if i didn't had my phone with me. thankfully my sis was still up, so i gave her a call knowing that. i couldn't imagine getting myself out of the fix had my sis not come to my rescue. the gate to my house isn't exactly very low you know... hmm well no you probably don't... it's not that i did climb over it before. but it's in the middle of the night. people could mistake me for a burglar. >_>

i know it might sound crazy, but i'm thinking of squeezing a bit of my time out to keep up with PHP and try to afford some time to gradually pick up vb.net in an effort to expand my skillset. i know i'd read through the "for dummies" book. but i was thinking more in terms of more hands-on so i can get a better idea of its use. can i be known as a fully certified geek already? it'd be a thrill to juggle the few technologies simultaneously though...

*An A+ in Short-term Objective Time Out Neural Gravitating, aka the SOTONG Syndrome*

*come on i've got to be a geek to bother coming up with THAT right?!*
