i forgot to mention. i saw the matchmaking show on Channel U hosted by Kym Ng and Bryan Wong last night. one of the male contestant Bryan pluck out of the Spinelli's at the Heeren was my (indirect) junior from camp. i found him familiar but i could only confirm my thoughts when they mentioned his name. i was like OMFG... the female contestant who was to choose which of these guys she'd pick. she'd get $500 cash i think, for whoever she chooses. the winning male gets $300. the remaining 3 should each get $200 or so. this fella i know is currently 21. the female contestant was 26. =_= in the end she didn't pick him (for obvious reasons i believe...) and i figure he got his dues. it's starting to sound wrong you know... enticing people to join in the fun just for the money. and if you are lucky, you get the girl AND money. you just have to hope that the girl doesn't look too... unsightly?
no idea why i wanted to rant that. but i did, so there.
remember that i ran slightly slower yesterday? i improved by 5 seconds or so. 12' 38" this time. oh well... better than nothing. will have to buck up. i figure i'm losing morale/steam in pushing myself onwards. just do my best i guess.
oh and speaking of which, today, i just received an sms + email notifying me of my first ICT call-up. they sure do book their NSmen waaaay ahead of the year.
oh and i realised i don't have much of any proper references i can use on my resume. that's not very good i reckon. but considering i'm "out of touch" with whatever contacts i have left of my army days and/or my internship in TP... i could insist this is the situation because of my being a "fresh graduate"... =_= -sigh-
it seems (or so i've noticed) that i might be qualified for certain positions that indicate the job titles to being something around "J2EE Developer" of sorts. J2EE is basically Enterprise Java. if i could i might look at Samsung if they have openings. looks good on the resume either way if i do get in (and then out).
*scandalous also serve them right xD*
