spontaneous days are here to stay

i'm still trying to wake up in the mornings. still not doing it. i woke up at like 1pm today or something. i spent my afternoon watching tv and reading the papers. it was raining half the time so i didn't get to go run. i'm unhappy that i didn't manage to run for the past to days. angry at myself. i know this sounds crazy of me to type all this but i just am. it's frustrating to not being able to get the training in with the proper effort. i do want to get a good timing for my running, but plenty of other circumstances seem to slow me down any which way.

i'd still been examining samples of resumes online. are there any pointers to writing a resume of my own? the format i'm getting is along this line...
  1. start off with my own big name across the top centre,
  2. with my contact details and stuff,
  3. then after a line that segegrates the above from the main content,
  4. include a short passage that describes me with some "teamworker", "eager to learn" kind of blah-blah,
  5. a matrix of my skills set with the years of experience i've had with them,
  6. the professional education i've had so far (maybe in sg context, i can include O's and/or Diploma?)
  7. additional info such as my hobbies and/or favourite past-times is optional,
  8. and last but not least, references/positive comments and that kind of stuff from other people who have worked with me.
i do have a resume prepared already. it was modified from the one i did for my communication skills subject in poly. it's not too shabby at least, just not as updated now. and it looks... less tacky. still tacky, but less of it. and it seems to be of similar format to what i'd described earlier.

i'd need some work on it probably. plenty of work. meanwhile, i'm still reading the classifieds to get a feel of the market. seems like quite a number of jobs open. some might be a bit out of reach for me, given that they require 2-3 years of professional experience in that field. i hadn't been just looking out for jobs that says "fresh grads are welcome to apply" you know.

ah well... let me enjoy christmas first eh... not like i'm looking for a job that pays 5k a month straight away... =_=
