i know it's getting to be a bad habit. i probably should not consistently wake up at lunch time. will have to work on that.
meanwhile, i'd been fiddling with my computers today. not so much of physical tidying up. instead, i was tinkering with the ubuntu linux box i have installed recently. i'm considering gradually migrating my activities over from the laptop on to the box. i believe it to be more stable and less likely to hang, compared to the win98se i had installed on it originally. so it would make sense to let it run happily. and let my laptop take a rest from the strenuous processing. hehe... i just got mIRC running on the box. it's not exactly native to linux, but they have ways of making it work nicely and easily.
in other news, i did speed training today. i'd ran about 2km, just one round short of a full 2.4km run. for each lap i ran, i ran the fastest i could go, or the most energy i have that i could put into my legs to carry me. then i'd rest for 2minutes before carrying on. breathless. this other fella saw me and was telling me all sorts of positive things about me when i finished. he said he was gerard, and he works for a church nearby, and that he'd stayed in the vicinity for over 15years. i figure he must be in his 40s... =_= xia suay talking to him... i'm quite sure he can outlast me if i were to run against him. seemed the fit kind. i think for the 5 rounds i'd ran, it's obvious that with each lap, i'd take longer to finish the next. i think my knees are aching still. i'm hoping to improve on my timing somemore. at least below 12minutes of course!
did anyone recall the news hoo-ha about the malaysian police scandal thing with the video capture of the chinese lady? actually, i do believe the police had their reasons for requesting the lady to do the squats. they did mention it was to force the female to expel anything that may be hidden in their cavities... which sounds reasonable. so it probably isn't entirely their fault. just suay suay some joker got hold of a camera phone to shoot that video. i guess they really ought to be a bit more careful with how they handle these things. at least don't get discovered with activities like this, lest they get caught in the media with such negative depiction of their police force...
*i'll try to... get...*
