let's start counting down

christmas is coming and i can feel it in the air. xD

so alright, yesterday night i was out with rachel and shan. there was a midnight sale going on at suntec so we popped by there to check things out. i can't say that it was a /midnight/ sale exactly... because the shops were going to open until 1.30am. i was lead to believe that midnight shopping involve the shops starting the sale /after/ midnight. and probably last later than 1.30am! so guess not. anyway, none of us got anything in particular there. heh... amazing that the ladies walked away empty handed. they must be so proud. =x i on the other hand, got a few VCDs of movies. talk about reversal of roles indeed.

we were home about 2 so i conked out pretty much by the time i came back. i swear that shan was still bright and chirpy even after getting home. >_<" rach and i headed straight to bed soon after getting home lol...

i believe i woke up at like 2pm just now. and in the late afternoon, i went to town with my sweetie, who /ahem/ got me a /very very very x3/ nice christmas present. the wallet is real nice! xD

i can't say the freelance work was anything spectacular. i was just working on some silly conceptual designs on 2 vans (technically, it's 1 van and 1 van-converted-from-a-lorry-with-aluminium-panels) for this courier service company. they wish to respray their vehicles for their re-launch to advertise their company. and they wanted to see how things might look if they were to respray the vehicles for real. so i did a bit of tweaking to the colorings of the vans in photoshop. talk about "automagically" spicing things up! the first version i did was - according to the guy i was liasing with - too fanciful. so i toned things down and made it conservative and less complicated. they wanted it "simple" you see. if they are happy with it, i'll get a tiny little sum for my efforts.
