a day like no other

that day is not today. hahaha...

apparently SRNathan had no fight. and the voting citizens of singapore probably won't get to exercise their vote this round again. read it here.

in other news, ken had been lying in bed whole day typing away at some codes. done with one half, he's now moving on to the second part which is also the tougher part...

oh and about yesterday, i had 2 presentations. real dumb. first one was the 10minutes for 10 slides. apparently there was some changes and the anal tutor of all things, she had to request that we *had* to have all our info in exactly 10 slides, inclusive of the title and references pages. wtf?! after i went home i checked with jason and he said the lecturer(who headed this subject) who was also his tutor did no such thing and was rather open about it because some girl had loads of slides and exceeded the whole damn 10mins by quite a bit.

next, the 3minute presentation. seriously, who'd ever heard of presentations lasting 3minutes. so anyway the whole class had to present their project/essay proposals. some people did projects(programming) and some did essay(crapping). some people presented with PowerPoint slides, some had overhead transparencies, some drew diagrams on the whiteboard, and some did stand-up comedy. these people actually came unprepared, and end up going to the front of the class and talking about their proposal empty handed. more stuff that irked me:

• badly drawn diagrams on the whiteboard
• being clueless about what this proposal is meant for
• mumbling inaudibly
• english that totally makes one wonder how this person got into this uni
• poorly structured presentation

ok so i must admit first, that i'm not absolutely perfect in what i do. but when it's time to give presentation, i think one should at least give something reasonably clean and serious to show for. alas that was not true for some of those people. i'm trying not to be racist about chinese nationals but sometimes some of them really take the cake at not making much sense hands down.

ah heck. that is about all there was. all that i could remember that is.

oh i think i recalled... that... i woke up about 1pm or something today... haha... amazing.
