buried

i'm buried in work! spending half a day in school was not very productive. especially if the lectures were barely understood. the tutorial was nonsense, and the lab was done before i went to class.

i'm working on a 3000 word essay now. plenty of words to bullshit about an organisation. and recommendations for this and that.

about my grandmother. today is the last day of the funeral wake. or to put it more politically correct, it's the last night. come tomorrow morning 11am-ish (SGT) they're going to remove her from Singapore Casket down in Lavender, and bring her for cremation. subsequently she'd be moved to the columbarium where her lot is already booked way back. so to that end, my grandmother will have her ashes positioned side by side with the rest of my grandparents: my dad's father, my great grandfather, and my mum's parents. hope she'd enjoy their company, and play mahjong or something...

my dad sounded ok on the phone. i called them earlier on. apparently this friend of mine (who incidentally graduated from some other uni in australia, and has since returned to finish his 2months of National Service) spotted the car i so often drive, parked behind the Hotel 81 Lavender. he was probably amused obviously. that was until i told him the higher possibility of my parents over at the funeral parlour than getting some action in a flimsy hotel room. i called my brother, since i'd figure my dad might not be in a condition to answer any calls. apparently my call was passed around and i ended up talking to most of my family, my mum, dad, brother and sister. just short of my sis-in-law and ryan. guess everything seems fine... so far. and apparently everyone's been showing up. the relatives. minus me. :(
