the new maid + a movie review

she's alright i guess. speaks english and a teensy bit of chinese. can chat with my grandma! which is good. the agency promised 12noon delivery of the new maid. they arrived close to 2pm. =_=

let's see how she performs then! the car is pretty dirty now that it hasn't been washed for 2 days the least. hahaha...

ooh yeah and batman begins was wonderful! the gadgets were cool as expected, and so was the standard car-chase scene. better not throw in too many spoilers here. BUT YES THERE WILL BE SPOILERS HERE SO READ AT YOUR OWN RISK!!! i think that the batmobile was so cool... i wasn't particularly impressed with it travelling on rooftops, but when it totally dimmed down and shifted around the few police cars was so cool! especially when the chopper lost sight of it because he slowed it down! the not too nice part was the driver having to change position for a better ride. looks weird. morgan freeman was pretty good in this too! he's like the Q, for batman(well sort of, not that he invented those stuff)... ooh and i don't think the female lead looks any nicer. just another sweet young thing. with a crooked smile? uh... right. at least she's not the "vase" stereotypes. but i find the ending part when they kissed too typical a gratuitous scene for the hero of the show. didn't have much meaning in it, i felt. but overall the whole show had a rather good plot, which i didn't quite expected to turn out. well ok i -did- figure the hallucinogen attack that batman got knocked out from was similar to the flower he'd plucked, but that probably didn't count. i'd rate it 4 out of 5 stars.
