movie review 2

Initial D. most people would probably be more familiar with the manga, and the anime series that spawned from the popularity of such a storyline.

the movie was ok mostly. exciting racing scenes, but the plot isn't much to speak of. it was a fun movie in general, with everything that summarises the main gist of the story compressed into 2 hours of this show. compression is never a good thing. at least the scenes involving the cars were quite realistic. the people acting in the show were mostly good. except for the 2 dumb ones. well anyway the sequence of events were good storytelling in general... and so was the background music, promoting most of jay chou's songs, and then some. oh and in the last parts of the credits, there was a disclaimer which goes roughly like this: "This film is not a an adaptation of the animated series Initial D." go figure.

to top it all off, somebody in the vicinity had stinking feet. the smell was so terrible the couple seated beside me changed seats to at least 20 rows away! it was rather unpleasant throughout the whole duration of the show. yucks!

i shall sleep it off before i start imagining myself to be jay chou and whatnot.

that was the main event of today, with everything else only to do with the words "home", "food", and "sleep". the last one, will next be repeated.
