hardly achieved anything

uh i woke up 1pm today. lunch was 2 slices of bread(which i think was rather sufficient) and i tried studying for thursday's paper.

parents wanted to have video conference, but there were problems with the network. so we kept reconnecting. but i was wondering why my dad kept selecting just the webcam for their side only. normally my brother and i had taught them about select three items: their webcam, my webcam, and the audio. but i kept accepting and disconnecting because he only requested their side of the webcam, and nothing else. so this went on for a while. it was super frustrating. so in all, i practically spent the whole afternoon trying to resolve this. i finally got hold of my brother on msn, who managed to call them up(it would cost more had i called them up from here) and walk them through it. we finally got the call set up and had a bit of chat.

oh well at least ryan sang me "twinkle twinkle little star" in tune and with largely audible lyrics. awww... :)

but anyway, dinner was
  • spaghetti bolognese with
  • meatballs and
  • baked fish.
yeah speaking of which it has been a while since i last made any lists. the meal was nice, although jason was feeling sick. yeah its common cold but the sickness came at the wrong time. hope for his sake it'll go away soon.

ah yes, the list i was thinking of goes something like this.

ahem.

in lieu of me returning to singapore for the holiday, i am considering a list of things i will want to work on while back home. i probably made a list many posts back but i'll just put this down anyway.
  • re-learn JSP
  • learn CSS
  • pick up .Net
  • Flash Animation
  • Pixel Art
and another point to add, just for good exercise of my skills, even though i may not be successful. i'd came across this site that is about the dada engine. it can generate sentences on the fly, that *seems* to make sense but in actuality does not carry any meaning even though the words read in proper structures. to cut it short, it was written in an older programming language. i would like to implement it in Java. it seems a heavy challenge though, and i googled without success on anyone that had work on this conversion. i shall attempt it nevertheless!
  • implement the dada engine in Java
perhaps i shall get in proper tune and sleep early, so i can study properly in the daytime. i hope.

*for 24, be it 25 or 33, 23 will always come first!*
