idd?

did u noe? starhub's hotline for their IDD is 1800-CALL-IDD.
in numerical terms it's 1800-2255-433.

if u noticed, the alphabets correspond to the numbers as you would press when u sms. 'C' and 'A' categorised under the button for "2" and so on... pretty neat huh? i tried to play around with my hp number to get something like that. but i realised most of our numbers can't. why not? well think about it. if your phone number includes at least a 1 or 0, that's pretty much a deadend. since one and zero dun represent any alphabets like 2,3,4,5,6,7,8 & 9. i dun tink ppl like to have blanks(zeroes) or 1s in their "catchy" phone number phrase like MUFFYPOO might probably be a phone number like 6833 9766. which is a land line... if you get my drift. mine... i can't think of any. it's like T100-1N0D... which doesn't make any sense, try as i might... try yrs and see if you can make something catchy to remember yr number by. quite a challenge... especially if yr number has ones and zeroes in it.

oh i digressed. idd. yes, my home land line is now registered with starhub idd 018. i called them abt a week back. the lady over the phone said we were supposed to wait for a form by mail, fill it up and fax it along with a copy of my dad's ic. the mail came 2days ago. but it didn't require us to do anything. so i had to call them up today to see if it was really activated for us yet... i called 1633.

"i'm sorry but we don't have information on that."

"but the lady i talked to last week about it told me about this and that..."

"i'm sorry but we don't have information on that."

"oh ok nevermind then."

"how about if you call up 1800-2255-433, also known as 1800-CALL-IDD."

"ok thanks..."

of course i summarised the conversation. but their service is rather limited. so i had to call up the toll-free interesting number to check. well yes they had activated the line for us. so there. and my dad wanted to know how to suspend/reactivate the line when they go out(they heard scary stories about maids chalking up hefty phone bills calling home) even though our maid doesn't even realise we had activated our idd. apparently in order to suspend/reactivate the service, it takes 1hour everytime, although it's FOC. so ladida. i'd done my part. and don't forget the number to dial is, 1800-CALL-IDD.

*new! toilet man brand! XD*
