dream!
We were on the run somehow from some dark creatures. he was some sort assigned to protect me until we reach some faraway land that can protect me. and this was about the journey.
we just escaped from something exciting and dangerous. we were on our way in a snowy forest. just then there came sounds of herding of sorts. some creatures (i think sheep) were herded to a cave by somebody. we hid. ok we didn't hide. we stood still in the snow away from the path. our clothes blended in with the trees. and the person didn't see us. and guess who the person was! porky the pig! whaahaha... i duno wad we did but that's about it for this scene.
next, we were at some inn located in a town with a sea port. we were dozing off in bed. my defender spoke: "are you expecting friends?". he sensed the presence of another being in the room. he flipped closed the cupboard door to find a beautiful banshee. well, yes. beautiful. before she hissed and spit at us, baring her sharp fangs for teeth.
to flee for my life, while the defender creature pinned her down, i jumped into the sea beside the inn. i didn't feel anything. the water was neither cold nor hot. i just found myself able to swim very quickly as if a dolphin. i swam around the vicinity of the port. it was late at night so nobody was around to notice the little struggle going on here. the banshee flew out of the inn room and dived into the water after me. somehow i was swifter in water than her/it. and i got myself on dry land while she was still swimming underwater.
when i was back in the town, my defender was there. he helped me out of the water and i ran to one side. the banshee came after where i got out of the water from. my defender pluck her out of the water and threw her into a market. a fight between good and evil ensued between these two unworldly creatures. and i was witnessing it all.
and then i woke up. hehe fairytale aint it?

hey dun look down on me k... i took the train today. i took it all the way from home to HarbourFront! and then i took the cab in... haha c'mon the place takes ages to get in from the bus stop... and after i was done getting the new batch of CDs, i took the bus! yes the bus! back to harbourfront! and then the train home~ gawd u ppl better not think this is my first time taking the train k... i got take trains wan! last time... hahaha... XD so anyway i walked home from the mrt station. why am i telling you this boring stuff you think? read.
so i walked back home on the small road. and then a van turned in and drove past me. JHR... johore license plate... hmm there i was wondering... where got so zhun! must have taken a wrong turn (as many have done so). so i minded my own business and continued walking. i walked further in and the van was still driving to the end of the road. where got so zhun! must be deliver thing to neighbor. so i carried on walking. then the van stopped somewhere around outside my home. where got so zhun! must be neighbor beside me... but i decided to quicken my pace just in case. getting pissed reading this? it's ok. i'm finishing in a while. so i approached my homebase and saw the gate was opened(by my mum of course), and they had walked in to the doorstep. ok it really was so zhun!!! just nice, i walked right in, and signed the papers. happily, the deliverymen made their way back to where ever they came from. whee!!! ok here's the climax. you can release now. release your breath la! :P
yes ladies and gentlemen, my new laptop has arrived. it came in a spiffy little package. a brown corrugated cardboard box. all sealed up. hehe... happiness! opening up it showed the precious item within, the easily recognisable black color laptop, a trademark of IBM notebooks. complete with the little logo at one corner of the lappy.
so yes i've been busy tonight. multi tasking at it too~ i was busy configuring/updating the lappy, as well as ripping the music from the CDs(hey for the work la), and then duplicating a few of the CDs for my personal backup. hehehe... this is really exciting for me. it's been a while since i last got a new laptop. =x
it came with a boring little black bag which i dun mind using anyway. and the offer also comes with an mp3 player from Creative. but that will come this wednesday.

and i saw 2 guys i know working there selling laptops. haha... look for me if you want a good price. i recommend to you. no commission :)
and i bought...
- xerox phaser laser printer $200 (shared with my friend, we bringing it to aussie)

sinful
the accident i got away from easily wasn't much, but i just received another bill from the traffic police. they caught me on their speedtrap camera, thanks to the sonar technology or whatever you call it. and they caught me at the doorstep of my home. well not literally, but probably about the junction out my house. they recorded me doing 83km/h on a 50km/h speed limit road.
so there goes another $170 and 8 DIPS points. -sigh-
all the weird dreams...
hahaha... then came the second scene and i was with erm i can't remember which celebrity. was my wife(haha!)... oh yeah... wait i think it was... Ivy Lee. haha yeah and she's pregnant. wahahaha! my wife and i were invited to a small conference. Zoe Tay invited us. she also invited other celebrities (dun worry nobody else you know is involved) that were couples too, like Zhou Chu Ming (with Hong Zhao Rong?!) and others. She wanted to recruit us in acting for a new show i think. no idea how she turned into a producer. Lin Mei Jiao thought the room was too cold so she never came in and waited outside, at some sort of amphitheatre. Lin Li Bing was some sort of the messenger for her and this group. -_- and i woke up.
oh guess how i woke up today. i was woken up by a GIANT BLACK COCK!
ok. now that that has caught your attention, no it was not a giant black cock. it was a GIANT BLACK hrmm not giant. i blew that up too. it was a black crow. who was probably hypnotised by some evil person to think that it is a cock. that's why it was cawing away early morning too smoothen out its caw-caw to cock-a-doodle-do. and waking me up in the process.

a bit of aftermath
i've been busy tending to my songs. i listen to them for a living remember? incredibly i manage to churn 3hrs worth of work in 1.5hrs. i'm so talented in this i tell you. being a TRANSCRIBER is no mean feat i tell u. you gotta have nerves(and ears) of steel! I started off with Agnetha Faltskog, then FIR, now Ocean Ou De Yang. when i'm done i'll move to Zhou Chuan Xiong. hehehe when i'm done with this bunch i'll get more new stuff and play.
oh hrmm did i mention my dad and bro came down to pick me up from the accident? to pick up from where i left off the other time - now that i'm feeling better about it - they came to rescue me and transferred the valuables over to the other car, and we waited for the towing. we subsequently tagged along behind the towing to the Sin Ming IDAC. They had a ugly (ok not that bad but below average) girl(i estimate her age below 20) in a polo and a short skirt working there with the 2-3 other guys. ooh short skirt. i did try my best to ignore her or stare at her. i think i did pretty well in controlling myself from gawking at her short skirt. V^_^ then we decided to claim insurance and i filled up the form which took ages cos i wasn't that familiar and many details didn't need to be filled cos there wasn't a 2nd party involved so i was looking up n down for parts that really needed to be filled up.
they said originally such assessments take up to 6mths to settle before we get our car back. now with the IDAC - Independent Damage Assessment Centre set up, we can get everything settled in 2wks. i dunno why my friend's dad was able to get a temp loan car from NTUC Income, when my family couldn't. maybe it's a different insurance plan... oh well... kinda feel crippled and bruised ego for now. hahaha... yes i know i've reached the stage when the car has turned from luxury to necessity.
die! you egomaniac! *stabs self*
did you know, nowadays insurance agents are no longer called Insurance Agents? they reinvented themselves as Financial Advisors. Financial Advisors are NOT insurance agents. they say. they don't ask you to buy their insurance plans. they MAP your money advancement and financial investments for you. they are doing you a favor! and you hand them your money for that. i received a call asking me to attend a job interview thingy few weeks ago. they called my home asking for me. well they asked for Mr [insert family name here] easily. my mum was anxious for me to find a job so hearing that they are offering me a job she passed the lady my phone number. i received the call, heard the magic words "Financial Advisor" and "would you like to come down for an interview" of course i was happy that i got an interview. but, wait a min i never applied for anything like that. it's waaaaaaay out of my field. so no thank you. i declined politely and hung up. i realised when i reached home that it was my mum that passed them my number. oh well.
now repeat after me. "financial advisor equals insurance agent. financial advisor equals insurance agent. financial advisor equals insurance agent. financial advisor equals insurance agent. financial advisor equals insurance agent. financial advisor equals insurance agent. financial advisor equals insurance agent. financial advisor equals insurance agent."
now gargle three times and close your eyes thinking about the last dead animal you've seen. there. you are now rid of the pesky individuals.
be well.

stupid bloody slow taxi!!!
ok it occured at sin ming ave. the bend near Ai Tong School. it was about 6.30pm just now. yes just now... i'm still traumatized by
- the prospect of having my driving points deducted,
- possbility of paying fines,
- mummy and daddy breathing down my neck just now,
- shortage of transport when my grandma supposed to go for medical checkup tomorrow.
so there i was on my way home for dinner hungry like dunowad and i got delayed cos of this. idiot taxi. drive away without helping somemore. and so i'll post some pics of the accident here. if you guys bet often, try buying this number "9011". you might just get lucky.
by the time my skidding came to a halt, this ROV traffic police officer on his motorcycle came out of nowhere and approached me. i was like WTF?! and he took down my particulars and i got around to calling home, calling towing and stuff... before long came a patrol car. WTF?! they set up beacons cos it was getting dark and helped direct traffic cos my car was in the way.
the rov tp was giving me attitude and the cold shoulder. he was doubting what i told him. goodness even i can't believe what i said either. i skid for well over 20m from the bend! skidding on with one wheel damaged! he kept asking me was i speeding?(no) did i drink?(no) did i fall asleep? (no) then how come can land in the middle of the T junction? (i duno) =_=
the patrol car fellas were nicer. their IC was friendly and kept assuring me not to worry not to panic. he tried to keep my spirits up and talked cheerfully. thank you you mr friendly policeman. i guess he said he was same rank as that tp fella and kinda took it under his own territory so he helped me talk the other guy out of considering any charges on me...
so in the end here's the end result. i'm not getting charged, fined, arrested(hopefully, i think so...) and i'm not hurt. the car's barely defaced. just the axle portion torn/ripped/damaged, and basically the car can't move cos of that. but the engine and everything else is still in order. the car's with IDAC and i'll be without a vehicle(yet again) for about 2 weeks. hopefully the insurance claim = no cost on my family's part. i dun suppose i'll be grounded now. daddy was this close to taking into consideration transferring the vehicle to under my name, buy insurance in my name, cos it's cheaper, when the incident is over. but i doubt it.
i promise i will drive more carefully in future. i promise i will drive more carefully in future. i promise i will drive more carefully in future. i promise i will drive more carefully in future.
i promise i will drive more carefully in future. i promise i will drive more carefully in future.
i promise i will drive more carefully in future. i promise i will drive more carefully in future. i promise i will drive more carefully in future. i promise i will drive more carefully in future.
i promise i will drive more carefully in future. i promise i will drive more carefully in future.
i promise i will drive more carefully in future. i promise i will drive more carefully in future.
i promise i will drive more carefully in future. i promise i will drive more carefully in future.
i promise i will drive more carefully in future.
they say third time's a charm. we'll see.
i've been working
i'll tell u guys more in future. on a totally different note, i have just obtained through certain channels an audio cd performed by an artiste Agnetha Faltskog and i had performed digital replication technology procedures upon the said storage media in order to obtain a self-owned version of the performed titles within the circular laser-recorded data storage device that had been on temporary issue under my charge.
so please make inquiries with me if you wish to listen to Agnetha Faltskog's renditions of a few oldies. Her album is titled My Colouring Book.

part 2 of the trilogy!
Part 1(scroll down for Part 2):
Part 2:
ooh another dream
The period was in some sort of medieval times. The starting scene was in some sort of ballroom in a castle of sorts at night time. i was just a peasant kid. The king was about to bestow upon one of his knights a magical sword, a knight that was loyal. Somehow meanwhile there was a knight among the crowd that was plotting to take possession of the magical sword and take over the kingdom.
Contrary to what happened the previous time i had this dream, instead of the scheming knight taking over the sword in a coup on the spot, the scheming knight (let's label him X) held back, advised by an evil sorceror. And to my amazement(due to my recollection of the same scene but with different events occurring), the ruler bestowed the magical sword upon the scheming knight!
Then something strange happened this time round. All the knights including the king all had this lanyard or some magical sign hanging from their necks, like a talisman that protects them. The talismans were in square shapes and inside the square shapes were cutouts of different talisman signs. So when the king was about to hand the sword over to X, his talisman was broken, along with X's. everyone was shocked. Practically the whole kingdom was there to witness the event.
As if everyone knew something sinister and evil was about to happen, all ran helter-skelter to evacuate the location. X was pissed he did not get hold of the magical sword. The king was shocked that things would turn out like that. Everyone was in a state of panic trying to leave the castle before some great beast comes in and takes them away.
Me, I ran back to my little cottage, and barricaded the door. I went to my little cupboard and took out a magical storybook from behind a hidden compartment. I wanted to read the book because I knew instinctively everything that had happened was written in the book. I tried to read the book from halfway where I left off. But it was taking too long as the book was pretty thick.
I was scared. I knew before long(from the previous similar dream), that I'll be hunted down by the magical beasts banging at the door of my cottage trying to get in. They knew that the book was in my possession and wanted it for themselves. Somebody evil had written in the book, that these beasts were to be released and wreak havoc in the kingdom.
Straight away, I took out a feather pen(medieval times how can have ball point pen!) and started writing in the book on a fresh page. I wrote something like "And this book never existed.", and paused for a while before deciding that in order for my last sentence to realise, I have to place it back in the secret compartment. I placed it in and wished for the best.
And I woke up because somebody called my handphone by accident. So no more story for today. =_=

today's checkup with the doc
so the doc met me and told me, i have 6/6 vision or better. better than a normal human. V^_^ happy! he said the eye test sheet has 6 rows of alphabets of descending font sizes and i'm able to read the last row! normal humans, he says, can only read up to the 5th row~ :D
whee~ yes i still have a bit of hazy vision now and my eyes both have hemorrhage(right eye abit more than the left) but it'll go away after a week or two. is corrective eye surgery for you? LASIK is not the only type of corrective eye surgery... find out more here.
i suppose i'll go hunting for a new pair of sunglasses next week! *vain* kekeke...
my op...
Erm... actually both days (left & right eyes) the process was basically the same.
*WARNING: points 17 to 29 have graphic description!!!*
- I reported at Tan Tock Seng Hospital (henceforth read as TTSH because i'm lazy to type in full all the time) about 2pm.
- An optometrist did a bit of eye tests on me first to double confirm my eyesight for correction.
- After a bit of waiting (there were quite a number of ppl doing LASIK after all), i was finally called in to the operating theatre.
- I was nervous, somewhat unprepared and not sure of what to expect.
- The opthalmologist surgery technician(or whatever. blah! aka nurse! :D~) helped me put on a robe(i was still clothed in my own clothes k...).
- And then the NURSE(opthalmologist blah) asked me some routine questions.
- Do you have any perfume/cologne on you currently? (not supposed to)
- Is your handphone with you? (in case ppl called you halfway thru troublesome)
- Do you wish to have a blowjob while having the operation? (joking!)
- Then my left eyelid (over and under) was disinfected with iodine.
- Both eyes were subsequently dripped with anesthetic eyedrops. (the other eye to cooperate/coordinate properly)
- After waiting for the surgeon to test out the laser, I slipped out of my shoes into their slippers and proceeded to the op table. (they had a partition w/ door where i waited)
- I laid on the table. (yes literally i got laid by the nurse HAHAHA)
- The team adjusted my head to fit nicely into this mould for my head. Blanket on me. (yes it's cold in there!)
- My eye that's not gonna be operated on that day covered with a protector.
- My eyelid was taped up, and the bottom lid taped down.
- Surgeon instructed me to stare at the blinking red light above me with my eye. And then he used an eye retainer to keep my eye still. Technically it just keeps my eye in place and i can't blink.
- Next he makes an incision and peels off my cornea, making a flap upwards(i think) and the suction lifts it up. I experience a loss of vision momentarily aka blind, and regains it shortly after.
- Keep staring at the blinking red light! The surgeon washes my eye with cold water. *drown*
- I see a green laser aiming at my eye. Keep staring at the blinking red light! The operation going to commence soon! So exciting!
- The technician reads out "Operation commencing, 4 sections" (or something like that. erh i'm guessing, 4 quadrants of my eye?)
- The laser starts up *zap zap zap zap zap* (continuously for at least 20-30 secs)
- "Half done", said the technician (omg they gonna fry my eye! i can smell the chao tar smell!!!) *zap zap zap zap zap*...
- "Almost finishing", she said this time *zap zap zap zap zap*...
- "Finishing in 5... 4... 3... 2... 1...", she concluded. "Completed." (Thank goodness finally...)
- Doc closes back my cornea flap and gently sayangs my eye with 2 swab thingies.
- Wash with cold water, sayang some more.
- He waits a while (either to let the cornea adhere itself back on or he's just tired XP)
- The eye retainer is removed (ahh... feels much better) and i close my eyes.
- Eyelid tapes removed, everything covering me removed, transparent eye protector in place on the operated eye.
- I sit up and get escorted back to the waiting area and put back on my shoes.
- Escorted to a sofa where i'm supposed to rest for 20-30mins, *waits*.
- (On Day 1) Nurse explains to me what the pouch they gave me is for. My specs is inside, a set of after-op care instructions, a bottle of anti-inflammation eye drop, a box of artificial tear eyedrops, and her contact number(sorry can't help being cornea... corny i mean. i'm joking).
- The doc comes out and sees me in a room. He inspects my eye while i rest my chin on the instrument.
- Okay everything seems fine. (the instrument just shines light into my eye for him to see better. He could have done it using a torchlight but i guess hospitals will always have more expensive solutions...)
- I leave to return home for a rest. ahh finally...
*erm... the following stuff is going to be abit icky...* (Go to Point 30 to SKIP!)
OK START READING AGAIN!
The end. Ooh if you skipped to point 30, you missed out the exciting parts... =X
and now... i present to you...
Part 1:

darn did i forget to mention?!
these things take time u know...
and i'm not supposed to shower(avoid) these 2 days. eew... so i better not sweat. too much. i do easily.
and ok fine so i've got another appt tmr(saturday) to do a checkup with the doc after this op. oh ya how much was it, u ask? erm abt $3-4K... both eyes, first appt about $100+. they do checks on u to make sure u are "eligible" for LASIK.
oh heck u'll get the info you need when u go to do it if u ever decide to. and those of u who don't need glasses, good for u, and take good care of them eyes u've got.

i went for an interview
no, really! and repeatedly listen to the songs. the job scope supposed to require me listening for when the song starts/stops the singer/music/silence those kinda stuff. and they probably allow me to work from home too... hehe... so i'll make about $325 conservatively speaking from one assignment. yeah they've got different assignments. different projects. different type of stuff to listen to. ho hum...
anyway if i were to really go down to work (after they confirm me the job) i'll burn petrol like no tomorrow. so it'd be wonderful to be able to work at home at my own pace. and when i'm done i'll send it over to them. ah... the convenience of technology.
i guess $6.50 isn't a lot. comments anybody? it's part time lo... and compared to my holiday job in sec sch @ $2.50 it's a big diff harhar... yes go ahead and laugh i did office boy before! well not quite. i don't know what you would call it. i did data entry for them and run errands outside. gee hope yr jaw don't drop yet. there's more. i also pretty much helped look after a cybercafe aka LAN shop in a community center. and owing to the lack of customers there back then, i wasted my time away there surfing away happily. real slacker of a job.
oh yeah back to this new job. if i do get it. i'll get a bit more $$$ then can go out with you guys more V^_^ hahaha... so if i manage to get hold of more than one such similar jobs that allow me to work from home of sorts, wow ain't life great? for a part-timer it's a dream. hohoho... ok i'll dream on.
wish me luck for tomorrow. i just cut my hair in the morning. cos apparently i shouldn't wash my hair for the next few days after the operation. and long hair = icky on me. esp if i don't wash 'em daily. so yes back to my short hair for now. it's damn warm lately anyway. not that i miss army. but it's true it's more practical to have short hair for guys. sweat and stuff. dries faster too.
really ah. i do get slight flustered worrying about the op. i'm worried about going blind okay? these sorta things you never know. sekali got thunderstorm outside when i'm in the operation room and the freak lightning bolt causes a power surge in the laser that's currently flashing at my eye and *ZAP* the laser shoots right through and burns a hole in the ceramic tile on the ground 2 floors below. and my brain gets a shortchanged of a few neuron cells, the back of my skull gets slightly chipped and u can shine a light through my eye to the back of my head...
"hey i can make a charlie brown puppet from here!"
:P
so much for optimism.

another new toy!
- IBM T42
- 1.7Ghz Centrino (aka Wi-Fi built-in)
- 512DDR
- 40G HDD
- 32MB ATI Radeon
- CDRW/DVD-Rom Drive
- WinXP Pro
- 3yrs warranty
- free creative mp3 player
more info at this secret website. the offer is privy to certain individuals. for under SGD 2800 i don't think you can get such specs anywhere else. hehe... V^_^
k la guess the only gripe i have with the config are the 40Gigs harddisk and the 32MB gfx card. everything else is acceptable.
and anyway i just placed the order like 2hrs ago. delivery won't be too soon.
and oh yes. come morning i'll have a job interview. nothing fancy. just a temp job recommended by my relative. transcriber. it's with the i²r agency. supposedly the job scope includes me listening to speech data files of sorts, and write/type out what is heard. sounds simple enough. but i've got no idea why the email requested me to bring along my certs tomorrow. and supposedly i can quit anytime too.
and i sent an email to this kindergarten thanks to somebody's recommendation. but no reply yet. it's nearer to home so of course i'd want to get this job more. and it's some sort of admin asst cum web maintenance... but no reply yet. prob i'll call them when daylight comes to find out more.
and yes the countdown has reached. come thursday, i'll get blinded in one eye, followed by the other eye on friday. i'll have a huge laser pointing into my eye and blasting away while i groan in agony tied up on the bed of nails at a torture chamber in the depths of tan tock seng. yes didn't you know?! they have a dungeon in there somewhere! that's where they keep their minions of zombies of the undead they reclaimed from their morgue! and that's where i'm headed.
i'll let you guys know if i'm blinded for better or for worse. call the cops if i don't type anything on thursday.
another dream
oh well it's a short one.
i dreamt i learnt to smoke. it was my first stick. i borrowed that first stick from my friend in the dream, borrowed lighter. -click- light up and started puffing like nobody's business. i tarik a lot and it didn't seem to have any kick. and before long my FIRST stick of cigarette(in the dream) was finished up and i stubbed it out in time for my daddy's phone call (back in reality).
in case you wondered. no i never smoked before in my life. passive smoker plenty of times. but those things never been thru my lungs before.

new stuff coming in...
the current tv comes with it's own stand and it's a old-styled projection tv. sheesh, this hunk of a tv has its own wheels too, stands at over 49" on its own.
the new tv... hmm... the candidates they're all looking at are new generation tv sets. well actually it's tied against a plasma tv (model 42S4SX from Samsung) which supposedly generates more heat, vs this LCD panel tv (model 9966 from philips) that has that ambi light they advertised about. ok, so the plasma tv is 42" and the LCD one is 32". but they are basically similar... but doubt they'd want to hang the tv on the wall. so they're considering which to get and we'll see what comes. it'll definitely show up in my living room before chinese new year. aka i'll get to see it before i fly off. yay~
oh yeah. so i've been proven wrong that people indeed do drop by to read what i type. ok so i'm really touched, being the regular SNAG i am. *hiuk hiuk*
ooh yeah... my stomach ain't too good today... i woke up about 2pm courtesy of my dad who called from somewhere out there if i wanted old chang kee curry puffs. well yes, on top of the fact i was woken up by the call i needed food since they didn't cook lunch. so i woke up anyway and washed up. my parental units returned home and presented to me a paper bag full of old chang kees. i mean their curry puffs. 3 of them. hence i greedily consumed all 3. one by one i stuffed them in and before long they were all happily sitting in mystomach digesting away. but i guess they decided they had digested long enough and just wanted to get out. i'll let them, provided they don't decide to get out by ripping my guts apart and exitting thru my belly button a la Alien babies. meep.
we'll see what develops tomorrow when i take a ultra-scan to check on the curry puffs.

means i can go get my air tix anytime. next up is locating a home away from home over there. probably north wollongong. doubt anybody has relatives down under? anybody?
hrmm i've been thinking what a huge ego i have. haha yes some of you already might have figured that out. i'm beginning to fret over not getting any job at this point. uh yeah i know i'm flying soon, but in the meantime i've got a least another 2mths or so before that happens. so i'll need more dough to keep things going. not healthy to dry up the bank account all the time. but yes i'm fussy. i'm the office worker bee kind... not those run around and get things done kind. i hate handling customers. *anti-social* hrmm hope the coming interview is simple. well can tell the job scope is fairly simple. appears as a no-brainer to me. not much requirements for my it skills. just need my ears. but it's a job. oh yeah... did i mention it's at heng mui keng terrace... aka beside the uni... aka behind science park 2... =_= worry abt the daily travelling if i get the job tho... $_$
oh well... apologies to the many ppl who have attempted to dig me out of my cave to go out... tightening my belt la... sori ler shan... (hrmm i dun tink she pops in here...) if not no discipline machiam burn money. i guai wan leh~ been eating at home more often liao! =x which goes to show i'd always been an obedient little boy of mummy. =x
i wonder what are the chances of ppl sending me money! The "Save Ken Fund"! even $1 will be appreciated! :D USD 1 also can... or better yet... help me click a few more times every other day on my ad in this bloggie of mine! each click pays abt 4cents so i guess if you wanna donate $1, just refresh+click on the ad 25 times. dun tire yrself out... tks

i'm trying to get some work done...
what is php? hypertext preprocessor. basically means, it's similar to asp, jsp, blahblah... what these stuff do is process a webpage on the server side first, before sending the processed data out to the client browser who wishes to view the page. why process you ask? for convenience's sake, the website owner can have a standardised template for all the pages of that site. if someone requests a page of that site, the server can process the page by combining it's contents with that of the standardised template to display a page desired by the owner of the site. that's just a simple example. other uses include having a database in the backend of the server where data can be stored/retrieved.
and what's so different about it from the rest? here's a simple breakdown...
- php: open source(aka free for developers), has a commercial version by Zend.com
- asp: by microsoft. monopoly. 'nuf said.
- jsp: java. sun microsystems. cross-platform friendly. commercial license costs big time.
- cfm: coldfusion, Macromedia bought Allaire & renamed it ColdFusionMX.
- cgi: common gateway interface, legacy server-side scripting on the web.
oh yeah and also finally at last in the end, if you fellas have recommendations for assignments to do website development, i've joined forces with a few fellow web monkeys and we promise to come up with a good quotation for ü. email me for details. will have more updates in future.
i'm still n00b to php 'kay... so spare me. and i'm rusty on my jsp and cfm. plus i barely learnt much about asp back then. cgi is like so dead now.

oops?
anyway, i got an email to attend an interview for this temp job. my relative recommended me. so, the job scope is pretty much temp standard. "transcriber for audio speech data files" it read... the lady was doing some sort of research for i²r branch of the a-star organisation. i gave a positive reply. no doubt, yes my mum. she wants me doing productive work while waiting to go uni. anyway i'd just done my body check up for my aussie visa application today. had a brief one. knowing that i was shy and all because there's a pretty nurse in the room, the doc pulled the curtains after i laid on the bed. he pressed my tummy my chest my erm wad u call that part anyway?? bladder isit? yeah something like that well anyway he heard my heart beat too and that was it. cos i did my tests last week. and nothing was wrong so far. oh ya fyi i paid $60. thats all. jason paid well over $99 for his one-day checkup. not too bad, $60. hehe... saved some $30 odd. V^_^
oh yeah sometime soon i'll throw in more pics. i been snapping shots of cars around town when i'm out. behind the wheel. :P

'tis the season to be folly...
so i was in gunbound happily playing, and i came across this person with a golden hammer(hey it looks like a spiked ball on a chain + a handle but dun ask me why they call it the golden hammer. i had recently procured a propeller avatar item that looks like a fan behind my back. it's cheaper than the golden hammer. but with different stats anyway. so the guy asks me if i wanna trade(that's supposedly illegal in gunbound) and i concurred. and i got cheated. well not quite.... read on.
i sent him the propeller as a "gift" in the gunbound avatar system. and he sent me back an avatar that was a suntan "hairstyle"(he added in the msg with the gift "sorry this is what i have"). not what we agreed upon aka the golden hammer. and either he removed me from the buddy list, or the server had a hiccup(you need the person to be on your buddy list to be able to msg the person) and i got disconnected by the server due to some hiccup. when i came back his nick was no longer in my list. i realised i got tricked and profusely requested to add him in vengeance. i gave up after 5 times or so, and got out of there.
i immediately went to the gunbound website to login and lodge a report to expose the scammer for what he was. i managed to locate the page and selected my transaction with him and it was processed. satisfied with my call of vigilante vengeance, i went back in the game. (of course somehow the system reset my password from my actions and i had to get a fresh one)
upon logging in, the scammer apparently acceded to my adding him in the buddy list. and he msged me. his golden hammer was gone(no i don't have it) and he believed he was hacked. but he couldn't give me a satisfactory reply why he sent the hairstyle!?! so he was apologising slightly that too bad our stuff were gone(i didn't tell him somehow the system returned my propeller to me) and it's ok that i can't return him his stupid hairstyle(we can't send/sell gifts to us sent by others) and asked if i wanted to play. i declined and disconnected. no i didn't tell him i reported him to the system either. i'll let him think he'd been hacked, and if he truly was, my condolences. else he was just lying to me. the cad. no decent reply why he sent the hairstyle. wtf click wrong? who the heck would believe if the system asked if u confirm you want to send the item(with picture showing) man...
and so end of the day i earned a useless suntan hairstyle with stats poorer than what i have that i can't give away nor sell. and he lost his golden hammer. and i'm not sure if he really got hacked, or it was cos of me reporting him and that the system reversed our transaction. __ suck this ass hole!
oh yeah here's a bit of obituaries. my condolences to:
- henrie and xiaoya, for their getting loss of monetary/proprietary possessions,
- lindie, for her kids at work and online transaction woes,
- ter, sorry to hear about the passing away...
- to silk and xalmon... well they always have this huge amt of angst with them ^_^
and yes... primarily i wrote this in inspiration from henrie/xiaoya... cos they lost something somehow. world peace~
i just thought of this lame quote: "the world revolves around you, if you work hard at it."

my cousin is back~
so anywayi popped over to visit her at her pan pacific hotel room and found her with her girl friend pretty much asleep from chatting in bed. the view was amazing hahaha... so we had a good chat and she showed me photo albums she carried with her...
oh ya. you guys. drop the idea. she's attached. :P

today's highlight: IRC
so there i was, all groggy and jus woken up. i flipped thru some old stuff behind the door in my tv room and after a great length of calculations, relative to the movement of the solar system and alignment of the planets and constellations as well as my biorhythmic flow in connection with the ocean tides, i decided today was a good day to clear away some of the stuff there. what stuff? i filtered out one whole set of computer equipment.
- monitor(display connection problem),
- keyboards(x2),
- mouses(4 of them!) ,
- CPU system
- NICs (erh i decided to keep both of them)
- SoundBlaster 16 sound cards(x2)
- VGA card (keep)
- mainboard(x3, a 386, 486, pentium 166Mhz)
- HDD (x2, 1gig and 4.3gig)
- floppy drive
- 4x CD-Rom drive
- HP Scanner+SCSI card
- a pair of speakers
well yeah that was pretty much it. i kept some more stuff. just because. :)
so i'm setting aside those stuff that i intend to discard and let the rag-and-bone man come along one day and sell it to him cheaply just to get rid of them. as for the remaining stuff, ask me nicely and i might give it to you at a very low price. and if you are quick enough, and want something that i wanna throw away, tell me and let me retrieve the item back for you.
so when i was done with that, i went on to update my notebook. uh. my laptop. whatever. update the OS and stuff inside, install stuff, clear out stuff. i'm gonna bring it to australia. run as server at my home there. yes i know. the battery isn't working so i'll run it on AC. hey it still works k? so i did some housekeeping. physical and digital. proud of that! hehe...
oh yeah housekeeping... that brings me to that title of this post. i wrote my own script for my irc client. i did it just so i can customise anything i do as a channel op. so i did more housekeeping and streamlined this and that as well! and i adjusted that little script that kicks drones. now i'd put it inside its own .mrc file with all the aliases and popup scripts in there too! maybe if you want you can ask from me to get it. nothing fancy, just a simple script that works.
and tomorrow, i'll try and head down to SATA to have a medical checkup. For my visa application to aussie. did you know the BLOODY student visa application costs close to SGD510?! damn ex... $_$ why SATA? they charge close to 50% of the prices of Orchard Road clinics recognised by the Australian High Commision. i applied my visa here. apparently i have to travel 2x. Day 1 for medical checkups, Day 2 for xray. :\ oh well... some things just needs to be done regardless.

it's about the chalet-cum-birthday surprise
yesterday, SIR building. to do what? renew my passport. oh man the renewal was barely 5mins! BUT! yes BUT! but the waiting took me half an hour! =_= i only had put a half hour coupon at the carpark so... well i cheated a little... haa...
then some people were waiting at tampines mall like 3++++... ok we intended 3pm but i basically reached there slightly before 4. =X so off i went to pak pool with xIaOyA-, Silk, and SiEyEs. i lazy 2 name lah but we had like seven of us there lah... then tag along their shopping a while, drop some people home, and over to the chalet.
ok i went to pasir ris. but not those cheapo chalet mind you. it's the Aranda one! see even the name of it rolls off your tongue with the RRrrrrr sound smoother haa~ and jason n yc n i press the door bell like idiots only to realise gevelle was out buying stuff. so i called him up and ordered him to open the door for us. good boy. :) our dear daniel(no seriously that's his name!) had his birthday so... we had for him a birthday cake! and... we made him blow... us? the candles! then... we... FED him the cake... nicely... awww c'mon we didn't shove it into his face. so bad! hehe... nah we didn't wanna waste the cake.
i just got back. mostly cos... the maid needs to wash the car... and daddy gonna use the car to send sis to work... zzz ok i'll probably hit the sack or do something whatever now.

tralalala~
whee~ i'm enjoying myself taking a lot of pics with my new 6230! hahaha... i uploaded a few mp3s for testing into it as well as a few games i just freshly downloaded! hehe...
only gripe i had was with the Nokia PC Suite Application Installer though... i had my *new* USB 2.0 PCI adaptor, and plugged in the *new* USB-Bluetooth Adaptor and the file transferring protocol worked fine sending the mp3s to my 6230. it was that bloody app installer that didn't work.
so in the end i had to bring out my trusty laptop(pretty much handicapped...) and use the infrared! it was a-ok installing the .jar J2ME files into the phone like that. =_= conclusion: Nokia PC Suite Application Installer has issues with Bluetooth+6230. at least that's what i'd hope. geez...
oh ya my sis bought 6230 as well. for a bloody $298! wtf?! (haha i got mine for $348) she used my bro-in-law's subscriber a/c to get the hp. erh ok i guess i can address him that, they'd gone thru ROM but he's not yet gotten his PR (permanent resident) status and neither have they organised a banquet for their wedding dinner whatever stuff... else i'd refer him as my sis' bf easier right? but might be more apt to call him bro-in-law. hrmm... BIL? haha... ok anyway sorry i digressed. but anyway she's got the new phone and now all 3 siblings in the house has camera phones all of a sudden! (erh yes, 3: my bro, my sis, me, but i digress)
right. back to my phone. i had my ringtone set to the Fat Boy Slim's Weapon of Choice. i had my wallpaper set to a pic i took of my baby tarepanda! wakakaka... ok maybe i should take a shot of my terrapins too... i'm trigger happy~ haa... oh ya i also added a handsling to the phone in case i get slippery fingers n drop it. that would be very sad -cry- haha enough of the lame stuff. i also added 4 little rubber studs to the back of the phone. this so the lens of the camera on the cover won't get scratched *that easily* i know it's not 100% foolproof but at least it does provide some protection.
