hrmm dun bitch about it but my ads are getting sucky cos i'm viewing public service ads already. haha... so here's more info about my new laptop! i dun think i put up enough specs... hehehe

so here goes, i've gotten the IBM T42 for approx <$2800 SGD. good bargain right? why so cheap? my bro got lobang lo... but why IBM? hey come on la for this brand people don't buy retail is cos it's expensive mostly. according to my bro, using this analogy, it's like purchasing a Mercedes/BMW at the price of a Japanese car. so my point is basically its worth it. :D

the notebook weights 7kg.
it comes with ATI Radeon 7500 so my main concern is settled. can play gunbound. ;)
then with Centrino comes its wireless B+G features which is good too!
of course at 40gig of harddisk space a bit short but still can survive.
they threw in the CDRW/DVD drive which can make up for it by letting me burn CDRW...
and one feature of IBM notebooks i didn't quite realise is, they dun provide winxp installation cdroms.
IBM notebooks come with a separate partition in the harddrive that provides a backup. basically i can restore to the initial factory setup with just a push of a blue button and the notebook will be as good as new. literally. LoL nothing will be left i guess... but oh well...

i'm hoping the mp3 player will come today. it's from creative. nothing fancy. i just wanna use it as a thumbdrive of sorts. it came with the bundle. the options were this, and a palm pda. but it didn't come in color display so i'd rather get this hehe...

ooh yeah and i went to collect my car yesterday evening. looks as good as new now! whee~ happiness is here once again~ they replaced parts on the undercarriage i think. but i think they made the steering column kinda stiff. doesn't return to center that easily. and they replaced the right side 2 tyre rims. the guy from the workshop asked if we wanted to replace the left side too, at a $300 top up. but we declined. we had to top up becos the insurance claim only included the damaged parts. the other side wasn't damaged. but hey, the rims are now of a different color but who's to notice! it's closely matched enough you can't really tell the difference~ :P

so now mummy daddy happy, sister happy(got transport send her to work again), everybody heaves a sigh of relief, and i can go out when i want to again. conveniently. =x
