i've got better stuff to work on. like webdev projects. in case you are wondering, "webdev" is just a term i' ve seen often on the net. just a simple shortform for website development projects. sounds cooler in a geeky sense of humour.
i went down to the institute today. bloody trip took me half hour to and fro. and i didn't even warmed up my seat before i left. since i
- found out there wasn't anymore songs to work on
- the supervisor in charge of my HR matters was on leave
and i headed home for lunch. i had my appointment with the doc in the afternoon. the surgeon who operated on my eyes for lasik. just a follow-up checkup to make sure everything's stable, FYI the blood clots in my eyes have subsided fully now! and also to sap more money from me for barely short 5mins of actual consultation. the refraction test costs about $14. that's the eye check up thing on the vision chart. i can now roughly tell you some lines of characters by heart after all this while. standard ones, from left to right.
- E-V-O-T-L,
- H-P-Q-N-L,
- B-S-V-D-F.
these, among others. these are those i see most often of. i have vision up to 4.5. whatever that means. just that everything seems normal when i checked with the refraction specialist. damn. the pretty refraction spec isn't around. got a slightly uglier one today. the other 2 i last saw were much better than this. probably that's why i couldn't see properly as well today. HAHAHA
and i met up with my army friends. 2 ntu undergrads, one works at a furni warehouse, and another that sells laptops in funan. plus one bummer who works from home and types this blog. i can't believe we actually sat at the Citilink Pacific Coffee for about 2hours chatting about old times and the people we knew. and current affairs in general. and we counted that of the 5 of us, only one was attached. the ntu undergrad. the rest of us handsome young bachelors are enjoying our lives for now. oh yes, 5. one was busy at church(xmas ma...), and 2 overseas studying. a guy at UQ, and another in Manchester over in UK. the lucky chap. DAMN YOU JON! haha
so that's that. i can't say today was happening. but a lot did happen. and i certainly did travel a lot too.
wad about phase C in the title? i figured. phase A started when i ORDed. phase B was when i found a job transcribing, from home. phase C begins when i cease the music-listening and concentrate more on webdev. in time to come is phase D. phase D equals Australia. new page in life for me over there. time certainly flies. i'm gonna miss everyone and everything here. and my family's car too.
*why i have this feeling everyone treats me like their sister? is it really true?*
