ok so my hamster upstairs was fighting fit today and decided to run a lot more efficiently, i managed to make my brain snap and had another inspiration...
no doubt i'm sure somebody can easily snatch this idea off my blog, but rememer, it is wrong to steal ideas. it is wrong to steal ideas. it is wrong to steal ideas. it is wrong to steal ideas. it is wrong to steal ideas. it is wrong to steal ideas. it is wrong to steal ideas...
now ask yrself this question. can you name (seriously, do let me know) where the florists are located in town? namely areas as
- suntec,
- bugis,
- orchard (yes taka b1 if u wanna count that in),
- & shenton way.
think of somewhere central to those locations. think very hard. correct me if i'm wrong, but by now you probably realise there are barely a florist in sight at those places??? hey i mean the lomantic kind. not those u would buy flowers from to visit the guan yin temple behind bugis. those with packaging and the works.
what if somebody actually purchased flowers in bulk cheaply, get shopspace along the streets and sell the flowers like bottles of soft drinks in fridges to keep them fresh? i have this belief. you supply consumers with something to buy, they will start to consider buying it, especially if they see others doing it more and more often. if nobody starts, they won't be highlighted of such an option available to them for purchase.
sure it'll be a big investment. but if ppl were to notice the prices of the flowers being cheap, and guys being cheapos are often around town, may reconsider and purchase the flowers for some girl, or vice versa! eh bien voila! il faut de tout... they *have* been stirring the slogan of love in singapore blahblah... why certainly this exchange of flowers as gifts would start a new trend of being romanticism in the urban jungle, no? single stalks don't have to be elaborate. that's how they can be sold cheaply, and hopefully still make 200% returns at least. =X
just my two cents. oh and somewhere out there you decide this is a good idea, please send me an email at least, maybe a fifty dollar note, too, should you decide to embark on this grandiose concept. no mean feat i must admit, but if you have the calibre i'm sure whoever you may be who decides to take up the challengecan succeed. i certainly will be glad for your efforts.
then again, remember please. it is wrong to steal ideas. it is wrong to steal ideas. it is wrong to steal ideas. it is wrong to steal ideas. it is wrong to steal ideas. it is wrong to steal ideas. it is wrong to steal ideas. it is wrong to steal ideas. it is wrong to steal ideas. it is wrong to steal ideas. it is wrong to steal ideas. it is wrong to steal ideas. it is wrong to steal ideas. it is wrong to steal ideas. it is wrong to steal ideas. it is wrong to steal ideas. it is wrong to steal ideas. it is wrong to steal ideas.
that is all. :P
p/s: yes i know of the flaws and the cons. flowers dying aka making losses, daily resupplies costs, ppl with allergies, big floral competitors... do share with me of your opinion should have any!
